My thoughts and prayers to all army and airforce comrades who took this Himalayan task to chase the enemies from our soil. So sad we lost too many soldiers 😢

Atalji had done blunder by giving armed forces not to cross the LOC.That made operation much more difficult, involving much casuality. Strategy of war ,lies with
miltary leadership. It was insane decision which atal ji had taken.
Military was given free hand during 1965 and 1971 wherein shastriji or
Indira gandhi were at the whelm of
    leadership.
That,s why Atal vajpayee was routed
out of power even after having own the kargil war.

BS.... He did right.... Crossing LOC would have meant full blown war.....we were just 7 year ahead of an near economic collapse in 91' ....wars are bad for economy & ultimately its the economy which will make us Superpower in future.

Your facts are not correct. Kargil happened in may-june 1999 and vajpayee government returned to power in October 1999 midterm election.

To me, the question remains unanswered- ‘ Does the army today have a system by which its forward troops can laser designate a target they wish the Air Force to engage?’
If not, it is a criminal act. Hang someone..
