  • Adrija, a member of Desh gives an insight into the lives of our Martyrs. DESH is not a registered organisation or any NGO. DESH is a group of like minded people who love their soldiers.
    The motto of DESH is
    1. To provide emotional support to the families of our soldiers who sacrifice their lives in the line of duty. They visit across India and meet the families and spend time with them.
    2. To express gratitude towards our soldiers serving or retired. Every year they send 5000 rakhis for our soldiers accross the border to express our love for them.
    3. To spread the unknown stories of braveries of our soldiers. They write extensively about them in social media.
    4. To motivate and encourage our next generation to respect and join armed forces.

    A soldier wrote this poem...❤❤❤
If i die in the war zone,
Box me up and send me home.
Put my medals on my chest,
Tell my mom that i did my best.
Tell my dad not to bow,
He won't get my tension from now,
Tell my bro to study perfectly,
Keys of my bike will be his permanently.
Tell my sister not to upset,
Her bro will take a long sleep after sunset.
Tell my nation not to cry,
I am a soldier, born to die.

      @@KeerthihistoryShame.... Manipur is burning out....
Why have you deleted the comment which I posted yesterday. This shows your attitude of favouritism towards Modi, the donkey.
Do remember! the truth never dies.
The Manipur people are suffering a lot. Don't you see that? Will you put forth the cruel Hindu culture of harrassing innocent people by the name of their cast?
What that donkey is doing right now without bothering what's happening in Manipur?
If that had happened to his own family, will he could tolerate it.
Or you say if the same thing which was threaded to Manipur women had happened to you, will you able to live long with humiliation?

I saw my friend whose father died when his bus accidentally fell into alakananda river when he was working in army.I never saw sadness in her eyes but prideness. Sometimes practically a father couldn't become hero of his children because of his irresponsible behavior. But not being with her,my friend's dad became not only her hero but also her God..

Being a soldier for a minute is far better than being a citizen for 100 years...!!!

This was one of the best podcast I came across in the recent times.
Myself from being a army family, I could just feel all those emotions.
Its makes me anguish that its been 24 years since the war but most of our soldier's stories went unsung.
I feel every soldier deserves that respect for their supreme sacrifice.
And it's not only the soldiers who are sacrificing their lives but also their families.
When a soldier is martyed it's not only the life of a soldier but the family gets shattered completely.
All we could give them is just respect and gratitude.

After knowing his story , i was feeling guilty . We as a nation has failed in providing them justice . The attrocities those men suffered are beyond imagination , we can't even think of that . They were not normal human beings.

Only a fellow soldier can understand the amount of unexpressed emotions in their hearts while writing the last letter , how badly they would've yearned for seeing their loved ones for once but never got the chance because they choose to give their lives for the nation. 'Saint' Francis Xavier, in whose name many Christian schools and colleges are being run in India, wrote the following in a letter to Rome about Hindu temples:
"When all are baptized I order all the temples of their false gods to be destroyed and all the idols to be broken in pieces. I can give you no idea of the joy I feel in seeing this done, witnessing the destruction of the idols by the very people who but lately adored them."- The Life And Letters Of St. Francis Xavier, Volume 1, Book II, Chapter IV, Page 281, by Coleridge, Henry James, 1822-1893

Your blogs & very different from any blogger, very informative, we couldn't know our history & culture in our text books always filled with Mughals & Britishers which would boar me, many times I would go sleeping in history class with open eyes. Your ways of know our history & culture is really very intresting & informative we never learn. Great job dear. Hoping to see much more about our Indian history thru you. Thank you for this episode. After I watched this episode I was emotional those the brave soldiers who sacrificed their life for the country. This is very shameful both the governments use the soldiers pension and other things for political vendetta. They did not know their feelings.

Starting from our freedom fighters to the Martyrs the tremendous pain they have gone through which is really so hard hitting. 💔 Reading the Last letter will definitely have brought a huge emotional pain to their family....
