  • Welcome to Garuda Seated & Standing. This intensive programme focuses on strength, stability, balance and joint mobility.
The repertoire is so vast that we had to break it into level 1 and level 2. But not to worry, the levels can be done in any order as they unite in technique.
In this video, James D'Silva and Martha demonstrate how one movement flows into the other honouring the yoga asana poses and practice. Special attention is brought into the warrior poses and the positions are deep and elongated. A prayer like practice is evoked through movement.

I don’t really see anything beyond yoga and Pilates in these videos. What am I missing?

Knee shouldn't be in front of the foot in any type of lounge (warrior 2)

Why not? If you never let the foot go past the knee then you would not be able to walk up and down stairs

@@andreafreely9308she is rit, that is a basic alignment for the warrior 2 n 1, knee n ankle in line. If u step up staircase , and knee will so far front frm ur feet, its mean u hv weak core ,glutes , hamstring and squad muscles. thats y up n down to staircase is bad for some ppl, coz they Compensating , all the weight on the hip or knee joint.

@@vanillasky18 I know that that is what is commonly taught in yoga. But if you want a healthy functional body your knee SHOULD be able to go past the knee without pain or difficulty. Something to train if you cannot do it.
