Words can’t explain the connection this song makes to me. I’m not usually a massive listener of music, but something about Clair de Lune just hits every part of my body. The integration of the music and speech just makes the song better so much. Despite all my friends associating the song with Telstra, I can’t help but associated it with the personal connections of my life, and how it has comforted me at the best and worst of times. Nearly 2 years ago a game streamer called Reckful passed away due severe mental health problems through suicide. The last song he played was this one. I had never heard of this song before that day, but since then I've listened to both the studio version, as this live version many many times. We will never know if it was intentional for this to be his last song to be heard, but both the lyrics and the beauty of this song makes me believe that it was intentional. For me and so many others, this song has such extra depth to it, and while most of us never knew him in person, we saw a part of life that many struggle with, whereas others learned about how tough mental health can be. He left us with many things, and 1 of those things was helping us find this amazing song. Anyway thank you for this song, and thank you for this amazing performance, every single one of you on that stage did a fantastic job!
Newfound respect for Flight Facilities. There is no doubt in my mind about these shows being among the best live electronic acts in years. Right up there with Daft Punk's Alive 2007.
