    All of that lovely work covered up 😮.
    To keep the whelts open while you bend them do you use a thicker code lead or the same you are working with?

      I usually use the same code lead. Thanks for watching.

    Nice technique as usual, how come your always seem to have the site to yourself with no one in the way, i never had that luxury

      Thank you.
      Oh that’s because a lot of the time I’m filming on Saturdays when everyone else has the weekend off.

    Stu. Whats your thoughts on a copper clip in the welt on these? Is there a technical reason as to why you haven't used them and would you on any other plynth detial of this size?

      @slbleadworks  Месяц назад

      I didn’t think they were needed on this installation. Also the builder didn’t want them or supply me with any copper.
      It’s so low and the lead is completely hidden by the timber cladding. So it’s impossible to get any wind lift. Also I’ve put the sections in no more than 1m max. If it was higher and not covered. I’d want to put the copper clips in too.
      Thanks for watching.

      @slbleadworks thanks.
      I had a similar question on one of my works, but I felt they were not needed for a similar reason. Thanks, keep it up.

    Old school here, do we not use beech dressers and mallets anymore ?

      No sadly not. I once had a beech mallet and it was so good for bossing roll ends. I really need to get another one day.

    Shame you could actually see the plinth brick, woukd have been more cost effective to have done away with them personally. And with that last little bit of the plinth that is visible, your lead work, shame as it is you couldn’t see it Stu, Percy think it would look better just brought the lead down just that bit more to cover up that silly little bit of brick showing. Looks a nice place I must say. 👍🏻

      Yeah it’s a lovely place. I dread to think how much the build is costing. I think the roof was 60k on its own.
      And also it’s nice having my feet firmly on the ground for a change.
      Thanks for watching.

    What a shame to conceal such a beautiful element. Should’ve just used aluminium or colour bond steel.
