Army, correct me if I'm wrong. BTS came up with this song as another anthem for "losers". They spoke to the youth that it was okay to not always take life seriously, that it was okay to be a loser sometimes, that you didn't always have to be perfect, and it was okay to make mistakes and have fun. You're still young. This was probably their response to Korea's harsh education system where youths spend the majority of their time to study and have no other life outside school and extra lessons. At the end of the song Suga said "I'll forgive you". I take this as "If noone forgives you (for being who you are and imperfect), I will."
I’m not sure if you know this or noticed but I saw somewhere that in the beginning, Dope was what was playing. So it kind of feels like this Suga was burning it up like burning up the expecting that you’re supposed to be dope all the time. Which is why I think this song was a response to that in some way. Like it’s ok to not be “dope” or great all the time so yea I completely agree with you. ☺️
This song is an extremely iconic one in BTS's discography. This song helped them A LOT in gainning a strong fandom. Even to this day when BTS is mentioned in shows this songs plays in the background. People of all generations know atleast one BTS song and its this one.
They need to react the b-side track too...like paradise, tomorrow, love myself, epiphany, mikrokosmos, Jump, 21st century girls, Airplane pt 2.,so what, blue and grey,etc.. of course live performance is better.
JIMIN left huge impact as per media and public with his performance exact at 3:33 (3rd minute, 33rd second🔥) in "FIRE", which considered as best part of the track
The fact that none of it ,from the man burning till the end of bombing up the whole place, was a green screen. Everything was real and even the car dropping and the car blasting and everything. Totally on fire 🔥
At that time their albums were about adolescence and youth. So basically, at the beginning of their path they talked about and depicted youth problems and the one's dreams Vs society and traditions ; than how to face it and be strong and stand against criticism ; than the love yourself Era comes to heal them with the love yourself albums. ✨ Thus, it's like a sequential planned ; not random, goal and message from bts. and "fire" was before love your self era as it clearly shown the youth symbols so you can tell. 🙏
I feel like they are the only reactors (or one of the few) that I accept whenever they pause the video to comment on something 😂, they are really informative and detailed on things, which also shows that they are really focused on what they are watching(i am really grateful for that, so thank you so much😊)
The coolest thing is that those fire stuff wasnt CGI. Nice reaction guys!!! I recommend you to watch Change by RM ft Wale and DDAENG explained version :)
Please react to Black Swan and Fake Love 🙏🙏🙏💜💜 I think you guys will really like them since they are more visually artistic than Fire was. Loved the reaction 😆
MUST READ: 2016; ARMY's who have been around for along time have taken much from this song: Back in the day, BTS would sit around this tiny table and make plans. ARMY would watch their planning meetings. BTS would let us know that back then, things were a mess. They were announcing that they were going to be doing this their way and telling fans, we should live our lives our own way. BTS were NOT getting the breaks and sometimes they felt like giving up. They were NOT being let in to the music industry. Look at the set up to the opening shot. BTS stands behind a metal fence. They aren't being let in to the other area. They are young. The guy the BLACK COAT is the Music Industry. He gives them a whistle but the fence makes it hard for BTS to get to the other side. Yoongi climbs the fence and goes to meet the mysterious guy. Yoongi then shakes hands with the music industry. Yoongi lets them know BTS is coming and intends to Burn the music industry down. And that's what they are doing. Symbolism. JK is circling the music industry on his bike. The empty pool. Watching what's happening on a video game and it's the same thing happening in real life. That they've started smaller fires, We see that they have made some noise. And they began making bigger scenes by dropping the car that's on fire and RM dragging the bomb into a music club because they were ready to blow it ALL up! Suga's last line is: "I forgive you". Burn it all down! Suga's last line is: "I forgive you".
OMIGOSH THANK YOU! This is what I always thought FIRE 🔥 was about! That BTS was telling the Kpop music industry they were going to burn it all down and the guy in black was the K industry/media. This was before they took on the US/Western music industry -May 2016- but now I always think it applies to the west now too. They’re going to burn the old corrupt music industries down! 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
It’s 100% symbolism (with Suga Jumping over the “youth” fence and them later burning that fence). The whole song is about living your youth the way you want and living it to the fullest (setting it on fire) and the album this song is on was all about youth and beginning to transition out of it
I really recommend you guys start on the Bangtan Universe. There’s playlists that have the videos to watch in order. When you watch I Need U, make sure to watch the 17+ version!
SUGA produced remix "Over the Horizon" for Samsung Galaxy brand song, which was released today as part of Samsung’s “Unpacked 2021” event, an annual event that showcases the latest and greatest in Samsung products, technology, and innovation. According to Samsung representatives, SUGA was the perfect person to remix the track, they contacted him themselves. You should check it out
The scene at the beginning where Suga shakes hands with the person in black who catches fire is from the album cover for Wish You Were Here by Pink Floyd.
the fact that jhope has a song now called “Arson” and at 6:00 they said it and its so related to this video and song it blows my mind I love bts world sm
Fire was released May 1, 2016. That means it was in the works for 8-12 months. So even though we in the US always tend to say it like BTS gets their ideas from us very often it’s the other way around. 💜
BTS discography if you listen from the debut to the present, all lyrics relate to the age of the boys. They write lyrics from their youth, to the adolescent, & now as an well known adult artist. They are musical geniuses.
yall should REALLY react to Spring Day by BTS i promise u won't be disappointed! its so meaningful and i KNOW for certain you guys will enjoy analysing the music video👀👀
to understand the songs is difficult because they are full of symbolism, bts has several albums with symbolism from the book, and others that talk about their lives, and others dedicated to ARMIS
I've dropped reactors when it felt like they are using the increasing Kpop popularity for views but you guys always seem genuine and see beyond the visuals to their meanings etc. Really like your videos.
i'd love to see you guys react to an unhelpful guide! they let you know these artists better even beyond their music :) i recommend “an (un)helpful guide to blackpink (2019 version)” or "a crack guide to blackpink" since they were the first kpop group you reacted to! (the guides help put names to faces as well as help you know some additional background to concepts and the positions in the groups) there are guides for all groups out there as well!!! (i commented this on another two of your videos already haha, but i swear it’s worth watching!)
Do you guys have plans to watch Behind The Scenes of their Music Videos? It would be really cool to see you guys react to how it was shot and made and figure out what was green screen or not 🤭💜
The dance practice for FIRE is jaw dropping. RM is dragging a corded mic through the fire. JMO the hooded figure represents Yung's Shadow. The Shadow is the negative component of a personality, things like fears, prejudice, anxiety. ..the things a person hides from others. Yung's psychology suggests making peace with your shadow by accepting and or eliminating components, and integrating the remainder into the EGO. If you notice Suga shakes hands with the Shadow then sets the remainder on fire. Would enjoy a deeper dive, maybe a preview would work better and give you time to react to things like the significance of the paintings, or other observations you might have. Stay well
Please react to some fun stuff from bts or any other content that'll show you their personalities. They are amazing people and i believe you guys will like to see that too.
btw the song dionysus is written by hope about drinking and being drunk. but I think its also alluding to being drunk on music or their talent? army pls correct me lol
what really amazing about BTS as you follow their songs and music you can clearly see that their music grow with them and each era relate to what their were facing at that age , that why you can see a lot of ARMY including me grow with BTS and now they are in their mid 20 and 30 and even older , thank you for the reaction
One of my favourites! If you're interested in the video production side of things, they release a behind the scenes video for most of their music videos. You'll find them on their BangtanTV channel, or checkout Bangtan Subs if the official one doesn't have subtitles.
Definitely recommend watching a live version of this which is awesome - Also recommend watching Dionysus live!! Also DDAENG (not sure if I spelled that correctly) - its one of my favs and also suggest watching the performance where vocal line raps it with rap line!
