Great video and should be very helpful for many people. Couple questions 1. First I think the part most people struggle with is that initial phase of the takeaway to where when the hands are opposite the trail thigh the grip end of the club points at the lead hip. Do you have any specific drills or way to achieve that? And as a follow up do you have any drills or thoughts to achieve the hands being past the trail elbow and club-head on or just outside the hands when the club is parallel to the ground on backswing or P2. It would be interesting to see a video on this. 2. One part of this video that could be confusing is when you speak about pressure shift and mass shift. They are completely different and I think should be clearly separated. When I look at great players force plate data I see an early pressure shift into trail leg and usually done between P2 and P3 with a mid iron and between 65% and 80%. The mass doesn’t move much with a mid iron 1 to 1.5 inches by P3 and definitely no sway but the pressure moves first and faster and more than the mass. It would be interesting to see a video on this
Hi Paul, Great points and suggestions here! My recent video was in response to your initial video suggestion. Let me know if you feel this connects with your question in the way you envisioned. Thanks for engaging in the comments frequently! I will work on video 2 in the coming weeks.
Very kind Paul!
