Registered Republican in Arizona here---not voting for Trump. After he tried to overturn the election, didn't want Pence to verify the votes and sent his mob to the Capitol, that is a game changer. We need someone who will follow the Constitution and the rule of law.
We’re pretty purple now (I’m in AZ, not an independent but I understand the landscape). A lot of voters here who aren’t blue, and ones who are traditionally Republican, actually hate Trump so they tend to vote blue for pres (at least the last election cycle) and vote red (if they are traditionally red) downline for more “traditional, old school republicans” while voting blue (granted at narrow margins) when MAGA extremists are on the ballot (example: Kari Lake, who’s a crazy MAGA Republican and election denier, narrowly lost the election for governor to a Democrat in our last election. We hadn’t had a democrat as Governor since the 90s). The border situation is actually way different then the right paints it, and way more under control then they say. They (MAGA) exaggerate A LOT about that & it’s more under control in the Biden administration than it was in the Trump administration.

As an Arizonan I have hope for AZ. Although it was way too narrow margins, we didn’t vote for Lake for Governor & we didn’t vote for Blake Masters for senate either. Kari Lake is a MAGA freak, election denier and has literally said she wants AZ to be its own country (no thanks). Plus, we just got over 800,000 signature (400,000 were needed) to put an amendment on the AZ constitution that would allow abortion for any reason, as long as a doctor agrees to perform the procedure, through pregnancy. And we voted to make weed legal here. And we raised state minimum wage. And we finally raised the unemployment benefit cap. I have hope. Turn out the vote AZ!!! Let’s go blue!!! 💙
