Another Interesting podcast but this is not even near to the bars set by last episodes with same guest. Guest was only focused on selling his work (sarmaya). Muzammil asked some good questions for example: what to do with 1.5 lac rupees, and where to put in? but he was selling his services on each answer and was not answering those directly. p.s Guest shared his experience of investing AVN and SYS was only good part from this episode.

Al ameen fund was trading at 100Nav back in 2010. Currently trading at 760. So approx 653% returns in 11years. Now simple divide 653 by 11. It's approx 59% per annum.
Systems Ltd shares that Laeeq bought at ~Rs.730 dropped or perhaps crashed on 31/03/2022 from Rs. 717 to Rs. 378. Ok, one should not get panic and start selling the shares of "System Ltd" but i wonder what caused the crash whats the learning here.
He did mention about technical analysis - everything about crypto they mentioned is based on technical analysis. However, what he referred to is fundamentally important aspect and this is what maters for actual investors.

Invest 40% of savings in S&P 500 Technology Sector ETF 3. Invest 20% of savings in a stock I think would go up based on research (for the past 6 months this has been Apple)

I would disagree with his advice on investing Rs.1.5 Lakhs by dividing it into high risk, medium risk, and low-risk areas through a mutual fund. The very first question should be, what is your time horizon, and can you afford to take the risk to withstand a random market crash? For example, suppose I comfortably live off my salary. In that case, it is much better for me to invest that 1.5 Lakhs in a high-risk equity fund which would enable reasonable capital appreciation over the years rather than giving me below-inflation returns(when I don't need them since I can live off my salary). On the other hand, if my goal was to only earn a regular stream of income in a few months and then cash-out, then a money market fund would do good with a certain percentage in an equity fund as well so it all depends on your goals as an investor rather than a one-fit-all rule.

The guest completely lacked the most important aspect of stock market trading which is Technical Analysis however Muzammil questions were spot on.
technical analysis is not the most important. Many people who are invested in the market even say TA is like astrology, its bullshit.

Good point. People with zero knowledge of the stock market should start with S&P500 Index funds. They are steady & offer great returns in long term.
