I did that hike in 1979 , climbed down at nite and went thru an Indian Reservation were they were working on a cow hide early in the am. plus the native indians on horseback were patrolling the area. Back than that place was listed in the top 10 most beautiful spots in the world.
Damn, that's a beautiful nature in Arizona. You should go to Philippines you'll find lots of gems to video. Have a great time! Thank you for the video.❤❤❤
@@babetravelling We just came back from road tripping from LA to PHX to Tucson to Sedona ... I could barely do a 2 mile hike in AZ weather/climate omg u did 10+ miles.
My first backpacking trip was Havasupai Falls. It was 113 degrees! Memories climbing down. Getting back up we left at 3:00 AM in the morning to avoid the June summer weather
Well said about what an honor it is to visit there. It must have been an incredible feeling to see all those sights. Plus you will always remember this adventure. Thank you for sharing!
I see this is where you work off those Vegas buffets. 😂 You made the hike back up much more challenging and dangerous by doing it around noon - the hottest time of the day. Better to wait until late afternoon after the hottest part of the day. How was the water temp?
This is amazing, I never knew about this place! Do you have your itinerary posted some where in writing? Would love to see it. I've never camped before so I'm not sure I could do then tent/camp ground.
@@babetravelling okay, I liked how you highlighted the topography of canyon. Also, it would be nice if you had a chance to interview some locals to find out some of the Indigenous history, customs, and culture...😘 Darealdeal
This trip seemed to me to be somewhat dangerous. But if you liked the adventure you should consider a trip to upstate NY to tour Watkins Glen State Park and Letchworth State Park. You could fly into Rochester and rent a car. Stuart in Los Angeles.
@@babetravelling Probably in the autumn when the leaves turn colors. When you are in Rochester (my home town) you will want to visit the Museum of Play adjacent to downtown which houses the National Toy Museum. See the videos on RUclips,
this hike was a total of almost 50 miles in 4 days. I have been walking 10,000 steps everyday since January and hike every weekend 5-7 miles. You got this if you want to do walking as a habit. Good for the soul and the body 🥰
Oh wow, you done an amazing job and got rewarded with some amazing views and great wildlife. Thanks for taking us along 😁
it's a true pleasure, I'm glad you're part of this journey 🥰

Years ago, early September, I hiked out in the late afternoon. It was a good time to hike out. The sun was setting as I reached the hilltop.

Are you used to walking? How did you do 10 miles just like that? I think if you add up all the miles I've ever walked it's 9 miles combined! 🤣
