I like the privacy that's offered at the restaurant. I wish we had the same here, partially because booths keep sound from outside away for there to be a good conversation or to enjoy being alone with one's thoughts.
Wow, I love their ordering process! That's so fun! You even get your own little button to call the person over. Such a cool seating arrangement too. Everyone gets their own little semi-private booth. The ramen you ordered is 👌 and looks so delicious. I definitely want to try this place out!
I enjoyed the blee 🤣 Great video and makes me wish I could go back to Japan. I didn’t know the Ginza location had a more premium ramen but makes sense given the location!
This video gave me saudades of eating a fresh hand made bowl of ramen in asian market here in Lisbon. Dont worry about stains, people who love to eat will understand 😄
Terrific video, Sarah. 1. I ate at an Ichiran in Shinjuku. I had no idea that Ginza's Ichiran has a slightly different menu. Good to know. 2. I didn't know that certain foods are considered gender-specific in Japan. That's interesting. The only comparable thing in the West, at least in America, is that certain cocktails are considered "women's drinks". 3. I'm so proud of you for wearing a ramen-conscious top. :) lol Thanks for the fun vid! p.s. I love your outfit, You look gorgeous! ~RJ
Thank you! ☺️ There aren’t that many foods that are considered manly or girly, but yes we definitely have those “women cocktails” Ramen conscious top 😂 that should be a thing 💁🏻♀️
5 months late reply but from what I read, ramen is usually not associated with women for various "stereotypes". Things like heat/steam from the ramen that may ruin their makeup, broth dripping on their clothes and the act of slurping is typically seen as not really "feminine". Of course, much like any stereotypes this is not the case for *every* women but some just don't like being perceived as the old-fashioned stereotype, so a semi-private booth like Ichiran eliminates all the concern. ^^
Great video as always. Don't worry about it, i have a habit of my food ending up on my t-shirt lol, i've never seen a restaurant set up like that before, im guessing the reason for the individual cubicals was because of covid?
Oh good question! I had a look and I don't think they have an official recommendation, but I saw a lot of people post their recommendations on the internet haha
I've noticed many Japanese people don't care if you slurp while eating noodles. To be honest, it's harder for me to eat noodles or spaghetti fast without slurping. But it depends on the person his/herself.
Ah, I like Ichiran but personally I favour Ippudo more, have you been? The thin noodle at Ichiran wasn’t to my liking however, the sheer number of customization options is praise worthy. The individual seating means you can order kaedama without shame 😂 Thanks for treating yourself and your viewers to your cheat day!
Wow I have heard that ichiran ramen is the best ramen in Japan, and also I really liked the concept of giving liberty to customers to chose texture of noodles, quantity of spice, seasoning and other ingredients. Just one question I wanna ask, is it healthy??
@@rev.paull.vasquez4001 You must be a lot of fun at parties... 😀 On a more serious note: it might not be the healthiest of all foods, but Ramen are delicious. Once in a while you just have to ignore the nay sayers and simply indulge.
Huge portion. How much does it weigh in your opinion? How much noodles is in there? P. S. I checked the restaurant on google and it only has 3.7 stars. Why do you think that is?
I feel like it had normal amounts of noodles! When you eat it it doesn’t feel that much. The taste is definitely good! Plus Ichiran is a popular chain so the Ichiran fans may give good reviews on google 🤔 it’s just my opinion though haha
@@TokyoFoodieSarah no, no you misunderstood me 😅. I thought that it would have more stars, like 4.7 or something. 3.7 seems low for such a good restaurant.
@@ivvan497 oh idk why but I misread it at 4.7 😂😂😂 I had a look and some people were complaining that the ramen was too pricey (though it’s only ¥200 more compared to normal Ichiran) so that could be why 🤔
It's quite silly that some people consider ramen to be a man's food... I am a man, by the way. One of the many things that I like about Japan, and therefore Japanese women also, is that food is to be enjoyed. In the West, a lot of women take tiny little mouse bites or their food, not wanting to appear as if they eat much, or whatever the reason may be... For the most part it seems that Japanese people, women included take big bites, slurp their noodles, lift their bowls, etc. The only real difference between men and women when it comes to ramen is that women, like Sarah, are far more likely to consider the potential ramifications of wearing a light colour! 🤣 (most men need women to tell us these things) Pretending to be someone you are not is NOT attractive.. Enjoying your food and having a good time with the company you have, is! Men and women should all eat ramen together and have a good time!
Hey guys!! Many thanks for watching ☺️ have you been to Ichiran before!? Let me know what you think about the restaurant 🍜🍥
Never been to Japan but soon to visite❤❤❤❤

I've never been to Ichiran, but I do really like ramen, so next time I go to Japan I'll have to give it a try.
Like Ippudo more
Does anyone ever order the noodles soft?

Yummy. I missed ramen at Ichiran. Thanks for sharing
I always hold up the bowl up to drink the soup at the end but it would be quite tricky with a square bowl like that!
True!! You might end up spilling the whole thing on your shirt because it’s quite unstable ahahah
Your slurping makes it seem so yummy! I love Ramen. There's Ippudo Ramen where I live (l think it's called Hakata Ippudo in Japan).
Oh I’m glad! ☺️
I’ve been to Ippudo in London and I thought it was pretty good!
The food looks so delicious and Yummy. I always enjoy you're videos. I'm so glad you are doing well.
Thank you! ☺️
The food was indeed amazing 🤤
I'm going to Toyko in october. I'll give Ichiran a try. Keep up the the work Sarah!!
Thank you!! Glad you liked the video! ☺️ I really hope that you enjoy your stay 🙌
I enjoyed the blee 🤣 Great video and makes me wish I could go back to Japan. I didn’t know the Ginza location had a more premium ramen but makes sense given the location!
It was apparently Ginza only! I should compare it with the normal Ichiran ahaha
I need to go back there. Love their ramen

I need to go here, I tried fire ramen in Kyoto but forgot all about these guys.
I definitely recommend Ichiran! 🍜
Great video!
さすが、Sarahさん!スープがはねた時のことまで考えて洋服チョイスするなんて私は考えた事なかったです💦😅

U r sooo cuteee...love ur vedios and voice
Glad you enjoyed it! ☺️
@1:40 HAHA! Another Sarah gem! LOL
I was slurping along with you. :) I'm sure your ramen tasted better though. Ichiran is ichiban. My ramen is store bought.
Ichiran is Ichiban!! 😆
That’s looks so Oishiii! I want to have some !

I love Ramen too..
☺️☺️
Could you do a video on the cost of living in Japan. Also looking forward to seeing your fashion segment. Stay beautiful and have a lovely day.
I’ll look into it! ☺️
I heard that they have a non pork based broth. I'd like to try that one if I ever make it back to 日本...thanks for the vid 😊
They do! I should go there to compare the vegan ramen and the premium ramen ☺️
@@TokyoFoodieSarah I think it is a chicken based broth and it comes with seasoned beef ON top instead of pork. Must be 美味しい

Can we make ramen with electric cooker(siroca)? ラーメン🍜が大好きので、自分で作られるようになりたい😂

Is this mild
Like I said in the video, there’s spicy paste inside so it’s not mild. But you can choose not to add the paste
