The rule of thumb these days is to not use Contrast paint with Sable brushes to prevent splaying. Does this not apply if you use small amounts of contrast paint at a time? Do you have any tips for using contrast paint with sable brushes and not ruining them?
I have a question and I would love it if you could answer this one for me: I see you have the base paint fairly thinned and apply it rather "thick" which confuses me a bit. Does that mean if I thin my paints enough I can apply them more heavy since the water will vaporize and leave just a thin layer of paint behind?
