I love that they waited till I bought my holosun and then drop this. I was so sad to see it bc I wanted a optic that was flush mount but was impossible to find for my 320
I want to be excited about this but I have several things that hold me back. First and foremost I bought a 365x with a Romeo Zero and two months later bought the 322 with the Romeo Zero Elite. Both are absolutely horrendous on battery life and you have to lose zero to replace it, the brightness is a pain to change, the adjustment to get it zero’d is awful. I ended up just replacing my Romeo Zero on my 365x with a Holosun 407k after I had to change the battery for the 3rd time in a year + the original battery it came with. The Elite on my 322 hasn’t gotten changed yet but it will it’s on its 3rd total battery. This new sight is more expensive thank the 407k/507k or the eps from Holosun. This just makes me wonder if sig optics can be trusted. I can’t get rid of my Rome Zeros without just giving them away. Every person who has reviewed this so far was obviously just reading a sig script and not actually giving unfiltered thoughts. Thanks to anyone who got this far I doubt anyone will read this.
I read your comment and I recently bought a 322 and am currently trying to figure out what optic to buy. I've seen a couple people and review videos that are using the 407k. There seems to be a newer version 2 of the 407k. Just trying to decipher what to buy.
@@DynoSauR4Truth people just say 407k because the x2 is the current version and I don’t think you could probably even find the original unless it was used. But yes I would recommend the x2. I specifically have it in green because I had read that it appears brighter on lower settings. I have mine on like the second or third from the bottom and it’s plenty bright. Seemed worth it for the $10 difference.
That was actually my thought when I saw the side pictures when I heard about this. 'Hey! a small closed emitter!' and then found out it wasn't. Maybe a later one will? Guess I'm back to looking at the Holosun EPS Carry.
hope the actually come out with an enclosed emitter option... that was the best part of the romeo m17 that they only made fit the contract m17/18's . that and the fde finish
I was hoping you would come out with the same thing as the Romeo m17 but with a built-in rear sight kind of like what the Romeo xis doing. I like the look of the m17 one better
I like the night sights on the back of the housing, that’s smart if you can’t co witness or remove your rear sights for one reason or another. EPS carry has notches but the EPS and 509T do not. Would be wise to have thought of that first. But 800? That’s the price of a gun man. And it’s way better looking than the mailbox acro. But that price is not consumer friendly. And given the fact they’re price gouging the military I seriously doubt consumers will receive a better price.
My only complaint is you say there’s a 6 moa variant but no such thing exists and I hate that you put in on your website as such but it’ll likely be a year before I see a release of the different sized emitter and with that I’ll stick with holosun for 100 bucks cheaper
Can I mount the romeo x directly on my sig. P365 ? If not, What plate do I need? I would like to keep the rear sights on .. Or , Do I have to get the slide milled? I would like to keep the original parts together. Thanks John
I just bought a Macro that included the Romeo X Compact as part of a package deal. Knocks 100 bucks off the price (as opposed to buying the optic and pistol separate) I bought it for a family member as her first pistol. I'll be the one to help her zero it, and take her to the range to get the 1st couple hundred rounds through it. Supposed to be delivered on the 18th of December. Another bonus is sig is running a rebate right now if you buy any Macro you get a promo code for 3 free magazines (those are usually 50-60 dollars a piece) so felt like the right time.
I'm a huge fan of SIG and I hate to be that guy but why isn't this an enclosed emiter? The competition is tough in the optic world now. SIG could've dominated the entire market if the Romeo X line was enclosed for 500 dollars.
It's a mute point. All red dots have flaws. Closed, open. Then there is Holoson, Chinese, Walmart branding, mushy button red dots. Straight Garbage. Buy the Romeo X.

I already dislike how much of a, "dust cup", my holosun 507k is. This optic is way worse. Any lint or debris in that emitter area, and you have no clear line of sight for the dot or irons. I don't mind the RMR type dots because I can get my finger in the clear debris.
Overpriced, not enclosed, “assembled” but not manufactured in the USA, and about 2 years too late… hard pass. Do better QC the products you already have out

Why on earth would you NOT release it in the same exact Coyote/FDE color as the Romeo M17?! We’ve all been waiting for the version that fits on the non commemorative M17s and M18s to match and to match the NRA editions of the P365 line up. Why black?!
Because a vast majority of people own black pistols and want a black optic. This wasn’t released solely for sig pistols and even it it were the vast majority are black.
I have an m17 and was holding out for the m17 Romeo RDS mainly for the fact it was a closed emitter. After finding out the slide cut is completely different I’m wondering the same thing you are. Give me an FDE, closed emitter, rds that fits the commercial M17 slide.

@@chickmagnet8301 I agree partly, but the Romeo M17 was released for the M17 specifically and like idiots, they only made it to fit the M17s the military have and the M17 Commemorative Editions that replica the military version. Most people have the civilian M17 and M18 so we’ve all been patiently waiting for them to release the same Romeo M17 that will fit the guns most of us have. We knew from Shot Show that they had plans to mass produce the same type of optics for the P365 lineup and all of their other handguns, but the fact that they released in black only thus far and before releasing a FDE/Coyote Romeo M17 that will fit the M17s and M18s that most people have just sucks. They did what will make them the most money, don’t blame them, but it still sucks. Now we all have to wait even longer. I wouldn’t complain if they at least put our minds at ease by telling us that they have plans to release both in the Coyote/FDE or if they allowed you to do a Custom Works for optics as well so you could choose the color you want.

I just got one and I’m honestly impressed. It’s far better than prior iterations.
