What are the times you are aiming for the coming season? Because this last year you finally went from 21.00 to 20.68, but do you feel like this upwards trend will continue?
Te conocí recientemente, y no me pierdo ninguno de tus videos de RUclips, me inspiras mucho a seguir entrenando, tienes una gran técnica y gran velocidad, sigue asi!!! camino a Oregon²²!!
I'm always looking forward to watching ur training videos. I wish you all the best from God.I hope One day Your hard work and consistent training gives outstanding results !
Hey Mathias, I am a coach and a long time fan of your channel. One of my favorite long sprint sessions is 5x200 (400m specific workout) and because of the similarity I was wondering what kind of rest you would do with a sprint endurance session like this? Good luck this season!
My two cents. Depends on time of year and runner. But during the season, a 200/400 runners will get more out high quality 95% efforts with full rest between reps, rather than old school Clyde Hart style runs that lean more toward 800m and 1500m training
so mentally, the whole relaxation technique clicked with me and I’ve run 10.91 and 22.46 with two poorly executed races. Do you think it’s more important to prioritize knee drive or frequency when racing?
Great! When the tension/relaxation balance clicks, times go down :) I think one needs to find out individually what to focus on. If you already have a high frequency, and poor knee drive, one should focus on the knee drive, and vice versa. Also when competing you don't want too many things to focus on other than your race plan.
Heyy Mathias, for me after running long sprints i usually feel very light headed and feelling like i will vomit. Do you have any tips to cope with this?😄
I've also struggled with vomiting sometimes in heavy long sprint sessions for many years until a couple of years ago. Getting used to these kinds of sessions might help a little, but I believe some people are just more prone to vomiting. Try to eat a little bit earlier, just light foods and isotonic drinks before the session. Also focusing on relaxed sprinting, I believe more tense running also makes it much heavier. For the light headedness; focus on deep controlled breathing during the rest-periods. Also do more nasal breathing when you are not too out of breath. That has worked for me. If it does not work it is possible you get lightheaded from sodium deficiency or low blood sugar for example.
Mathias - Another interesting workout. What % of your race pace are you doing these? From your facial expression and arm movement it looks like no more than 90%. Is that correct?
I would say this is a bit over 95% of my race pace. I'm focusing on relaxing my facial expression. I agree my arms and step length might be a bit shorter than they would at 100% in competition though.
You don't need to do 200m sprints to build speed endurance for a 100m, but It can be good to run once in a while I think to learn how to stay relaxed. I think it's nice to start off with some 150m sessions, then to do a combination of 150m-120m, and finally some 120m-sessions leading into the season.

Hello, the operation is not only in Origon, but also in Moscow👍🏼
Great training session. Horrific choice of musak!
The punctured Maxfly/maxflat, is still pretty good
Yes, I honestly don't feel that much of a difference, they feel a little more like a normal very stiff spike
@@hovejoha oh, ok. also I didn't expect to recieve a reply from you
Thank you sir super work out sir
Amazing times, congratulations
Direkt einen Daumen dagelassen
what a well executed shinanglechange. poetry, barerunning would be proud. any tips how to achieve that?
Cool session

Mathias, how do you feel about your ankle mobility? Can you do a single leg pistol squat? Thanks!
Hello sir, great work. Are you doing full recovery?
After 1st 150mts sprint how much time to take rest for to do 2nd 150 and how much rest for 3rd 150

How many minutes in between sets?
how much rest between sets
Excellent vid! Is the rest interval 12 min b/w each 150m run?
Thank you! Yes this week was with 12 minutes rest.
Is there anything I can mix max velocity workouts with because I’m bored?

How is it to run with the maxfly when they are punctured?
Your rest each run was 12 mins? Or each set
Wondering what percent?? do you do on speed endurance
How do you get school and track under one belt?
Like do you go flat out or 80 to 90 percent
Mathias - Another interesting workout. What % of your race pace are you doing these? From your facial expression and arm movement it looks like no more than 90%. Is that correct?
He told it was 0.1 behind his best times, so I suppose he was running close to 100% or 95-100%.
I would say this is a bit over 95% of my race pace. I'm focusing on relaxing my facial expression. I agree my arms and step length might be a bit shorter than they would at 100% in competition though.
Indeed around 0.1s behind my best training times @Eternal Dreamer
@@hovejoha Thank you, Mathias! Makes sense.

Hi which is better for speed endurance for the 100meters 120 meter sprints 150 meter sprints or 200 meter sprints.
