I once had a 74 FJ40 land cruiser. All built, 350 Chevy..went out with a bunch of guys in Idaho, we were all built, lift kits, v8 power etc. There was this old guy with an old flat fender, flat head 4, thing would go everywhere the rest of us could go, those things are amazing...
Another awesome video! I always like watching that first CJ... pretty cool seeing a beat-up old Jeep just keep going. Wonder how today's Jeeps will fare in 70+ years?
Today's "jeeps" can't make it 50,000 miles without front ends needing rebuilt, using a quart of oil every 3,000 miles, and tops leaking as soon as they leave the dealer. 100% trash
They will look like plastics crushed up pop cans, nothing will last like the 40s-90s cars/ trucks ect.....too much plastic now and that gets very very brittle after a few years in the elements!!!!!!! They will just rott apart

Those little 134 cu inch flatheads were not much for speed but they have got power.I own 2 1948 CJ 2 models and a 1953 CJ 3A.I haven't started any of them for a while but I know I can get 2 running without a lot of effort. My Dodge power wagon models M37,M42,and M43 are more useful and will get priority when I have time to work on them.
Believe it or not that wimpy roll bar will prevent the cab from crushing down. I rolled my scout having just a roll bar and i was able to get her up right, add fluids, break out what was left of the front glass and drive the 80 miles back home. Although nothing beats a roll cage and after that incident I drew up plans and installed my full cage.
Stan Ji..You are the World's greatest Off Roader. I touch my ❤ and sincerely say this. I will meet you ,when I make a pilgrimage to MOAB. Luckily my Youngest niece is in Salt Lake City UTAH. Kindly meet me With Respectful Regards Ganeshram from 🇮🇳 👌👌👌👌👌👌👍👍👍👍👍👍🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🦶
Ahh! The good old days in Moab! This is what we did on a Friday night as teenagers. (😐before the orgo greenies came along and turned kids into little whiny babies.) The first time I climbed that hill I was about 12 or 13. I was in my Dads 1974 or 75 Jeep and he was sitting in the passengers seat. All the kids I knew back then could drive a stick shift and this is what we did for fun! I'm surprised they will still let you drive that trail. Just look at all those ugly tire tracks on thst beautiful rock! Hahahahaha!
but how could that be. no lift. didn't have 37s. what did they do with all that money they saved...and it still climbed up those rocks.i know they have mall crawler in their garages.for those black Friday sales
@@scottsoffroad I don't live my life in fear it's just common sense because if that jeep rolls most likey it will crush you or break your neck, so why take the risk? For example I love taking sharp corners but if I am going into a blind turn (trees, foliage) I slow it down to a 25 because I think "what if there is a child crossing the road or what if there is a deer crossing or what if there is a stalled car"
I got a feeling that tow truck has a stretched out chain in his transfer case........ the front wheels and the rear wheels had to kinda of catch up with each other!!!
Egbert Wadman I’m actually a VTAB accredited 4x4 instructor and assesser . I’ve taken part in many Australian 4x4 comps including the outback challenge Nissan trials etc etc. fir mine the tyres on the first Jeep look quite high And that’s why it’s struggled. Thank you “ the expert”
After thet when the Hurricane 4 "F-head" came out they went from 60hp to 75hp, everyone thought they had the world by the tail, but then when the V-6 was introduced they were real little hotrods at 165hp.
The best truck there is the tow truck!!!! Sick af!! But he needs to settle those rear leafs down to much bounce, would climb better with some basterdpacks in there!!!! But way cool!!!!
The is a magazine called Military VehiclesThey have numerous venders advertising in their publication. You would be surprized at the vehicles and parts that are available.
You don’t need 37,s, 6” inch lifts nor a winch. A willys is enough. What a legend.
the onyl thing you need in a willys is... big balls !
This was a testament to lowering your air pressure. The second jeep had the least trouble, and the least air pressure in his tires. DO THE MATH!!!
True but you can only go so low without beadlocks.
That is 4 wheeling in its primal form. Well done. Well done indeed.
No roll bar on those, very confident in their ability and the willy ability! Love the sound of those old jeeps. The sound of freedom.
You people are really risk taker.
No wonder you progress!
May God bless!
Pure skills, no frills. Respect, sir!
What a beautiful way to spend the day
"All" you guys are awesome. Great video!

Cool to see the old Jeep's getting it done. But also feel kinda bad they're beating the piss out of them.
Better they are being used and enjoyed. There are enough museum pieces out there.

Air down boys!!! Lol. Iwant another one bad! Had a75 cj5 v8 all fiberglass except windshield frame! Lots of fun!!! 6inch lift n 35 inch Mickey's!
Fantastic !! That Dually truck is beautiful
Those old Willy's are badass
Glad to see informative video, Good work bros!!!
That was neat! And that recovery truck looked like something from mad max 👌
That truck is cool, the guy owns a shop/junk yard in moab, ive gotten parts from him for my old xj, very nice guy
Trailmater
These old jeeps are way better than new ones it seems
I’ll never be as good of a driver as these guys... I need a CJ2A. Love Stan’s determination!
Wowww
I saw this group at EJS 2021. Very cool!
Lol... All the shiny new Rubicons are sitting in the mall parking lot.
Q,f
Yeah never seen one dirty. I shouldn't be the one to talk though. My TJ is all waxed and the aluminum rims have a mirror finish.
If a mall crawler even approached that slickrock all the airbags would fire from sheer fright.
A buddy of mine bought a new Toyota truck and the dealer gave him a pair of sunglasses so he could look cool in it. I am not kidding at all.
New breed of jeeps are not actual jeeps.. they are just suvs
I cant believe theres thumbs down on this video. That jeep looks like it would break in half but it wheels better then most vehicles on the road.
Jeep willys un mito e una storia la migliore ,non invecchia mai
Omg... Itni purani gadi 🚙😎💪🏻🔥
I love vintage car 🚙🤘🏻🔥💪🏻
#thedynamiteexperiments
Old is gold willy jeep is the king 👑of all vechile
so nice !! love ford jeep so much !!!!!!
The old school jeeps keeps on spinning.
This Grandpa is crazy
Awesome!... four by four by far... thanks👍
the ford wrecker at the end was cool looking , reminded me of the road warrior
Very strong Vehicle💧🌱

That's some scary wheeling without roll cages.
Bob Czz my thoughts exactly
Exactly

Right...
Thats so scary
WOW that's awesome!
My God, its a miracle seeing first time, but I heard the name of Willys Jeep, "India".👍👍
Yes it's Willy's
Not ENDian made junk
Nothing better then a jeep
Back when Jeep drivers were more capable than their cars.
😂
That skinny roll bar would give me too much anxiety on them cliffs.
lap belt and all!
My first thought was yikes!!

We can still drive stick :P
Amazing little machine
THAT TOW TRUCK IT'S INSANE NICE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
'trail recovery' truck was having a hard time XD
Those Willies boys got some balls.
The only thing that worries me is the lack of a roll cage. Its cool and all but aint no way im riding in that thing.
Remember it is not hill climb racing 🔥🔥
This men is legend
I bet Stan said he layed the rubber so you guys could get up . Ha Ha Ha !
Yes, I like to watch Stan do the obstacle first. Gives me confidence :)
That is an awesome willie
Grampaa shows the way again !
but how could that be. no lift. didn't have 37s. what did they do with all that money they saved...and it still climbed up those rocks.i know they have mall crawler in their garages.for those black Friday sales
Grampa's the best!!!
Powerrrr 🔥🔥🔥🔥
1:08 I had underestimated it wrong OMG this jeeps are Amazing!!!
My friends, a perfect example of real jeeps. A lift and big tires doesnt mean shit.
Cole Rippeon What kind of Jeep do you have?
@@ronaldraqueno667 53 cj3a
Approach/departure and enough clearance to keep your underside safe👍🏼
That is not the original route up yellow hill. Back in the day it was a bypass
Great video. Like watching a $1,000 Willies keep up with those mods.
i can smell the burny clutches from here lol
This granpa can reach Everest peak with his willy
Imagine trusting your life and possibly a lifetime of paralized neck down to THAT "roll cage"
Quit living your life in fear to a what if this happens situation.I saw no one get hurt. What if the sky falls, what if,what if.Give me a break.

Jeep willys: you are the roll cage
I would have throwing the towel after the second try and said it’s too slick. I’m amazed they could climb that.
That’s insane. I feel like my truck is too top heavy especially with a rtt.
Oh No!!! Not a rtt!
The sound of revving of diesel engine is simply addictive than weed!!!
Lay off the grass homie
I was really surprised with the Jeep and the cracks that drive them
Old school is the best.
I got a feeling that tow truck has a stretched out chain in his transfer case........ the front wheels and the rear wheels had to kinda of catch up with each other!!!
I love this guy! Awesome! I would ride shotgun LOL. I wonder how much that old Jeep is worth?
Tyre pressures look like there 100psi in first one
Donald Goldney tire pressure is 9 psi
Egbert Wadman I’m actually a VTAB accredited 4x4 instructor and assesser . I’ve taken part in many Australian 4x4 comps including the outback challenge Nissan trials etc etc. fir mine the tyres on the first Jeep look quite high And that’s why it’s struggled. Thank you “ the expert”
jpetrowich cheers , I got to say they look in video to be way higher
Out of the box WWII Willy’s. I’ll just leave that here.
If you like old rusty modified cars over new shining cars.
Like here
Just having driven 1800ks from Melbourne to Brisbane in my JGC, I just love grandpa’s Jeep. I want a 1/18 version
Great job
Wow....The Real Willys
Willys power!!
please tell me, what engine volume does that first old man have
Aleksandr Medvedev if it is an old go devil motor it would have been a 4 banger at about 133 cubic inches. With about 50 to 60 hp
After thet when the Hurricane 4 "F-head" came out they went from 60hp to 75hp, everyone thought they had the world by the tail, but then when the V-6 was introduced they were real little hotrods at 165hp.
Yes it would be the 134 cid L-head "Go Devil" as you say, 60 hp.
2:25 MATER TO THE RESCUE!!! Really butchered square body though.
I love jeeps
2:33 Older times suspensions were like this only it would have been so hard to offroad that time!
Depends on axle and torque, not age.
That's cool. I love the old stuff
Is that willy's jeep completly stock?? It looks like it flexes more and rides better than mine does.
its actually a full custom build on 40s: just a 7'2 driver makes it look small
the one good JEEP WILLYS
Amazing very powerfull engine
The best truck there is the tow truck!!!! Sick af!! But he needs to settle those rear leafs down to much bounce, would climb better with some basterdpacks in there!!!! But way cool!!!!
I love this old model light weight
So cool
Are Willy's jeep still alive? Spare parts still available? I'd love to own one
The is a magazine called Military VehiclesThey have numerous venders advertising in their publication. You would be surprized at the vehicles and parts that are available.
Thats badass
Wait.... So your tellin me you can go offroad... In a jeep... WITHOUT lockers, 40s, a hellcat swap, and exactly 72 led lightbars
Looked to me like they were running lockers. The wheels were turning in perfect unison
Jake Ledbetter THERES NO WAY!!! are you insane, that video was edited 😂😂
You have to have an led light bar or u want make it up any hill.
Please show them moon.
I am deam sure they will also climb that.🙏 Hats off
Grandpa👌 ultimate ☠️😎💯🔥
No roll over protection in those little jeeps...scary!
👍👍👍👍
Wow cool
Whoooooow great
Really goosebumps
BEST SUV ever
Daamn, bro ! You can't even climb that hill by foot and look what he's doing there
Very cool
Wow...nice work of that rock/feature!
