Remember seeing her live in Austin in 2018 at the barracuda. Probably only around 25-30 people there but it was probably the most moving set I've ever seen. No joke she had this room full of burly looking metal dudes crying like baby's, me included. I got a all bitches die vinyl and she signed it in her real name still one of my most prized possessions. Crazy to see how far she's come. I saw her in New York recently and I could barely even see her the place was so incredibly packed. Happy she's gotten the recognition she deserves.
I said it on Twitter, I've said it to friends and family, and I'll say it again here: The Brooklyn show was possibly the most moving performance I've ever seen up close. This doc is an absolute treat - had me choking up all over again (in between laughter). Can't thank you enough for an unforgettable experience. P.S: Working in post-production, I can't help but notice that Mitch is a very talented cameraman/editor :)
It’s an absolute breath of fresh air in a world inundated by comatose people who claim to want to be making or experiencing some kind of wave in something they like to call an “underground scene” She encompasses and surpasses what it means to be a member of a community that purports things to that end.
Eternally grateful for the Montreal show, hands down the best concert of my entire life. Also eternally sorry for blocking a few of these shots with my shitty phone. Can't wait to see where you take your music from here on out!
omg Kristin, Thank you for being such an inspiration! Your work is so meaningful and such a masterpiece, an old soul existing at the exact right time. Your talent and passion is heartwarming and your art has been a source of hope and strength for so many people. I couldn't make it to your shows in Montreal and New York :( , but this documentary has given me a small window into what I could’ve missed forever. Your work is truly timeless and will be remembered forever. Thank you for being a light in these dark times
Seeing her talk about how much fun and enjoyment she gets out of the hymns makes me genuinely so ecstatic about seeing her perform SAVED! live. I’m sure it wasn’t easy performing all that music with dark emotional connections and am so happy to see her performing for the first time on this tour (my silver lining to missing the last lingy shows)
kristin you are truly a one of a kind person and talent, thank you for giving us your art and your story and performing these songs for us. this doc is my film of the year 2023 for sure. i hope i get the chance to see you one day, in whatever artistry you will blossom in next
Wonderful documentary, thanks for all the hard work that went into making it. I love the footage of Kristin's gorgeous home. Thanks so much for sharing. Much love ❤
Thank you, Kristin, for one of the most memorable and moving performances I've ever been to. Even if you leave LI behind, I wish you the very best luck and all happiness in everything you do in the future. P.S. lowkey, kind of stupidly excited that I spotted myself in the Toronto show footage twice. hehe
Thank you for filming and releasing this, I hope I'm gonna see you perform one day. You were in Munich, Germany just a couple months after I discovered you in 2019 I think so I just barely missed you. You are so talented and beautiful, you deserve all the good in this world. I am so excited for what is next for you in life and for your musical journey.
I remember standing outside the venue in sf and hearing you play your piano. It was just me and my boyfriend at the time since the line hadn’t technically started. It was so magical, thank you for all that you do. I’ll be seeing you at the Stanley hotel! ❤
I was gonna comment “WHY ISNT THIS ON LETTERBOXD” but I am legit so happy that it is cuz this is genuinely better than every artists tour diary/documentary I’ve seen
Omg I can't believe I didn't see this get uploaded! I was at the Pittsburgh show, I think that show seriously shook something loose in me psychologically. Not sure if Kristen reads these, but I hope she got the origami crane I made her! Thank you so much.
Ayo! (17:35) so that's what y'all had going on down in the comments of the IG announcement of the documentary 😂😭. I thought some dude had sneaked into Lingy's 'gram just to throw shade 💀
Hey not to be all emo in the chat but Kristin’s music has gotten me through some shiiiiit and sometimes it’s the only thing that can comfort me. I’m flying across the country to see her in late February and I can’t wait to see what this new phase is gonna be like live. Love her !!
Just returned from the Seattle show and I honestly have no words. You have established a legacy for yourself like no other. I am so grateful I got to see you before you retire Lingua Ignota 🤍
i love to see her smiling and having fun. she deserves it. kristin means the world to me, she deserves everything good in this world
❤
Yes.
No one deserves anything. We choose our paths. And we choose our ways.
the sound going from a fun disco song to PENNSYLVANIA FURNACE 💀
mE AnD tHe DoG
The Toronto show was honestly jaw-dropping. It was a night to remember, and I hope Kristen is proud of the legacy she has carved for herself already.
absolutely. It affected me for weeks, such an outpouring of emotion and incredible performance.
Unforgettable. I think it felt like a real culmination of that tour, and even that period of her music.
I was supposed to be at that one 😭 couldn’t get my passport in time 💀
23:14 shoutout to the person openly sobbing in the front row. same girl same
and the person trying not to laugh at them 😭💀 wth ??
The closest i will get to understanding religion fully.
@@eliasmsv3156 was that you in the front row?! cause if so i respect and applaud you haha
the way the person in the right 5:55 looks at kristin made me cry, thats beautiful

Lol, this comment.
Footage from Lingua Ignota concerts are always so weird. How is everyone not on their KNEES
I was there the first night. No one on their knees, although some people ended up on the floor.
Oh lawd, I need those hymns as a standalone album.
lol you got what you wanted 😭👍
she truly deserves eveything
Truly.
And that includes being healed and rejuvenated and loved and she deserves to know the beauty that does exist in the world, and I hope she does.
the flailing hands in the basement lol
absolutely love the recovery at the end 🖤 she was so real for that

I can definitely see myself and my partner in the footage from the Philly show. Kristin we love you so much, words cannot express. ❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥
Amazing artist. If this isn’t works of the highest sort, I don’t know what is.

A crew full of talent and fun vibes. Y’all are the best
funny to see a shot of myself looking kinda stoic knowing full well I was sobbing 5 minutes later

crying at the video finale - imagine while she's right in front of you
this is so unbelievably wholesome my lord
the nashville date was probably the best concert i’ve ever been to
My great mistake is not finding a way to see her in this iteration before she decided to retire this particular nom de plume.
23:14 I MEAN COME ONNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN
Dammit you and me both brother
She has probably the best looking decor in her house Ive ever seen. Her taste is excellent and she has so many nice pieces.
Amazing. I wish I could have gone to one of these shows.

The videographer is Mitch Wells from Thou, right?
What song is Kristin playing at 19:04 ? Love this
it sounds like the chords behind part of "O Ruthless Great Divine Director" (the "endless ruin") part
Sad she had to cancel the European Tour. I hope the Reverend visits us soon
That guy that yelled is an ah
