Total Annihiliation 2: Tides of Darkness HD

I originally created this movie back in 2004. At the time there was hope that a Total Annihilation sequel might be created by a studio other than Cavedog. Blizzard were successfully creating sequels to their RTS series and well known for the movie cutscenes in their games, so I thought I'd recreate the intro movie to Warcraft 2 in a TA style.
The movie was completely rendered in POVRay. All the TA models, animation scripts and textures had to be converted into POVRay scripts. Some of the enhanced models created by the TA Arsenal Network were used in place of the low poly originals. VirtualDub was used to assemble all the frames into the final movie.
The sound was mixed in Audacity from the original TA soundtrack, sound effects and the voice put together from snippets of the TA mission briefings.
I recently re-rendered this in HD and ultra-widescreen just to see what it would look like. I noticed a few glitches that had to be fixed, and some that I've left in...

By far the best soundtrack for a game. Miss that when playing SUPCOM series. Had to reinstall Total Annihilation again.

Yeah this is a full re-render in high definition. The original was uploaded to RUclips by someone else before I even had an account, 17 years ago. It's got over 100k views.
