I’m looking at booking for september, is the windward wellness centre complimentary for guests or is there an extra fee? Really looking forward to some thermal therapy!
@sylvierichard8118 the wellness centre is included, which definitely makes the Muir Hotel worth it (let alone all the other great features) and I accessed the weight room, studio, changing rooms, and the cold plunge, pool, steam room and sauna, so it’s all there to use but the salt therapy room times have to be booked in advance. I’ve been back since this video and it was just as good the second time around and can’t wait to visit again! 🙌
@@matthewjosiah thanks!! The Muir hotel has been a dream of mine since it opened and I never thought i could afford it but we have a ton of marriott points (enough for 2 nights) so we’re treating ourselves!
@@sylvierichard8118 Booking through points is the best! I've got a video called "How to Book Luxury Hotels for Free" that gives you 16 tips to make your travel points go further, so you should check that one out, too - enjoy the Muir!
Thank you! For what it's worth, I am 6'5" and my girlfriend was filming the video from 5'4" so there might be a few tricks being played when it comes to the angles??? Kind of like how they filmed the ELF movie? hahaha
This place looks beautiful. I live about 25 minutes away lol. Spend a lot of time in downtown Halifax. Definitely on the staycation to do list someday 😍
From what I know, it is open to hotel guests and residents who live in the connected condos. I’ve heard you might get access to some features through the connected spa, but I don’t know that for sure and I do know people who have tried sneaking in, but I guarantee that won’t work because there is always a wellness centre attendant at the entrance, so I don’t recommend that 😂
@craigsilvermusic staff said no recording (which I get) but the cold plunge, salt room, sauna, steam room, and a great fitness centre is sooo worth it and I’ve already been planning my next stay! 👊
I live in Nova Scotia, not that far from the Muir so will probably never have a reason to stay there. Interesting but just kind of too plain for me. It might be luxury but it just lacks personality.
There are plenty of great options for stays (hotels, Airbnbs, and other) in Nova Scotia, so there are definitely plenty of options to choose from. I’m not saying this just for the video, but I’ve loved the times I’ve stayed at the Muir and always left very relaxed! 🙌
Yes, they say they have classes, but I’m not sure what and when those are. You enter the studio through the fitness centre and there were a few spin bikes in there as well as space for yoga or stretching - it’s a beautiful fitness area and I wish I could have shown you that in this video!
The best part of the stay was the Windward Wellness Centre - would you use the sauna or the cold plunge first?

Wonderful video! Did anyone notice how low the ceilings are in this Hotel, yikes!

That's awesome to hear - it's one of my favourite hotels and I think it's a secret gem for hotels in Canada!
Watching now. Very cool Matt! Just subbed (thought I already had done this)
Thanks a lot for watching and sticking around Dave! 🙏
My pleasure!! @@matthewjosiah
🙌
We live close by but I want to stay here for sure!
Yes, it’s a great staycation because you actually get to relax and’s enjoy the hotel amenities along with the rest Halifax has to offer! 🙌
Do they allow day use guests to use the Wellness Centre, or are they for hotel guests only?

Excellent video, my man!! The place looks great.
Thanks Craig - you will have to stay here next time you’re home. It was incredible and I wish I could have shown the wellness centre! 🙌
@@matthewjosiah Yeah I was kind of looking forward to seeing the real thing!

Looks amazing!
Thanks Jordan - it was, but I wish I could have shown my experience in the wellness centre! 😭
Wow what a luxury room!
It is a beautiful hotel!
You did not show the coolest part of the of the Queen’s Marquee / Muir
The stair ps that lead into the harbour…..
Haha you’re not going to catch me going into the harbour… I will film some tourists taking a dip though because they seem to love it! 😂

The business center. I did the same thing in New Merrillville New Mexico. USA
It’s a great feature to offer guests that most hotels can’t provide a space like this 🙌
King do they have yoha or self soul stretching area.?
