Not exactly a legend. I believe most violinists who start playing when they're 5 can achieve this skill. The actual impressive skill to achieve is being able to play technically difficult pieces like Paganini or something musically difficult (second movement of numerous concertos) well.

Marcus Kim there is a specific hold, whether it’s baroque or modern. the bow hold has a significant purpose, as holding it the wrong way can damage your wrist and hands. i held my bow wrong for quite a while, and now my right hand suffers when i play because of the years of wrong bow holding. :)

Marcus Kim there is a specific hold, whether it’s baroque or modern. the bow hold has a significant purpose, as holding it the wrong way can damage your wrist and hands. i held my bow wrong for quite a while, and now my right hand suffers when i play because of the years of wrong bow holding. :)

The normal clothes and the dimly lit small room makes such a dissonance in my mind when this kid just brilliantly played one of the best masterpieces ever created by man. Why isn't this kid on stage? Also, I'm sure the woman in blue dress is his mentor and was concentrating on the way he was playing.
