In Ct here and the rain has been crazy and last night it thundered and lighting like crazy ( woke me out of a sound sleep) another 2” of rain and 40 degrees and tonight will be in the 20’s! I agree exactly with your remake techniques and I’ve gotten 6 Yotes and a Fox so far but I’ve earned every one of them. One set got trampled by cows , became a small pond, and I still got three ‘Yotes in that spot because of the remakes and the 4 coil MB 550! Good series glad I subbed.
Same thing up here in northern Missouri. Calling for more rain Friday and then turning to snow, then back in the 40's next week. Gonna continue to be sloppy. Sure makes for some extra cleaning of the hides with all the mud on them. :)
I am dealing with the same here in Tucson at least it's not freezing hard just mud. The farm ground I am not having issues but the Sandy stuff ever time it rains I have to reset everything. I put my trapps in bags on Sandy ground works good for light rain but this 2 inch stuff is crazy
That looks so familiar. I got swimming pools for dirt holes. And when I walk up the peat moss is there floating. Today I was out checking my traps and it was so hard walking in the fields without slipping. And then looking for a place to put a trap when the fields are saturated with water. I did manage to find two spots. 95% of my sets are step down . Today I put in T-Bones with flat sets.
Engele Trapping the song is called Triump. I bought the rights to it for $15 so I could use it for marketing videos for my business, and then thought, why not use it for a trapping video too
Engele Trapping I don’t remember the website that I got it from but perhaps you can search the name and find it if you want it. I paid the $15 which allowed me to use it in marketing videos etc
I just found your Channel holy man are you guys wet down there looks like a great Channel I subscribed. By the way I think your intro is absolutely awesome probably one of the best that I have seen on a trapping Channel
Wow, thank you for the great comments and for the subscription. So very glad you like the channel. We have several new videos on the works, so hope that you like them. Thank again for the kind words.
Rain starting tomorrow again, changing to freezing rain, then 2-4 inches of snow. If it was just snow I would be pumped. The freezing rain will totally muck things up before the snow gets here.
VA is the same bud. Grate video I look forward to your next one. Me and my little girl run peetmoss only somthing that we are trying new this year but seems to be doing really well if any thing just add a little if the dog is showing.
You said you cannot make dry dirt (wax dirt) work in the wet. I disagree. Check out this video, ruclips.net/video/BpEt1-cBm3I/видео.html, at the 19:40 mark and tell me wax dirt doesn't work in the WET conditions. I am not putting you down, but when I saw this I was amazed and made a believer!
Wax dirt will work in the wet, but if you get 3-4 inches of rain, my experience is nothing will work that well and the bigger issue is how much wax dirt will anyone need to get through a season if you use it all the time. If you are running 5-10 traps, wax dirt is a viable option for the season, if you are running on average 25-30 maybe not and 50 or more for sure not unless you have a dump truck load. Thanks for the comment and discussion, I like to learn and discuss all options
@@trappingtheozarks23 Just wondering if you watched the video mentioned in my comment? The trap was COMPLETELY UNDER WATER, and yet the dirt was dry and the trap could have easily been set off. I am not arguing with you by any means. I am just saying I was impressed with the video proof of what dry wax dirt can do.
@@lonniechartrand I am not arguing with you either sir, good questions and good discussion. If only I could have 200 gallons of wax dirt per season., but that is not really practical
@@trappingtheozarks23 Got that right. Almost a full time job of itself. I have a concrete mixer that I plan on using should I need a large volume of wax dirt. As it stands I just now sifted 5 gallons of peat moss to finish up this year. Good luck to you the rest of this season!

Chip Arndt : Wild About Being Outdoors I so feel the same way and it has been very tough

Thank you, crazy weather this year
What is your anti freeze I use salt
Scott Swift generally just salt
I want to use just 450s for everything, is that ok?
We got 8 degrees & snow in colorado
Scott Swift that is tough
Hey buddy I got a question where did you find the song for your intro

The rain is killing us in Arkansas
You ain't kidding. I have re bedded so many traps I am sick of it
this weather has just made it a rough trapping season
The rain is bad here in West Virginia also and now we have snow and 26 degrees.

You have it tough with the rain
Put wax paper over traps then dirt
60 on new yrs day that's colorado
Good ideal
Or your coyotes are smarter than Mark Jaggers! LOL.
I doubt that, probably more user error lol
