I've always been fascinated by investing, but when I tried stock investing early this year, it hasn't been as successful as I expected. However, I keep seeing good news about the stock market. What are the best strategies for less risk and more gains?

Sibanyes and PGM's mining case isnt that much about cyclicality or automotive industry. The story is far more complex. Its about Russia unloading its stocks to pay for imports. Its about Sibanye's abysmal relationship with the unions. Its operational track record is highly questionable. South Africa is a borderline failed state and mining is even disrupted by electricity blackouts. Mines are deep, need massive capex and literally nobody would be suprised to see nationalizations of mines within 5 years. I am long SBSW due to its multiplying potential, but dont be fooled that this story is about cyclicality only.
Love this channel but I always think It is funny because Sven and many people here will be scared to invest in America or certain companies despite stable returns for decades but will focus on cyclical gambles in failed fracturing states that can't even keep their utilities on
@@jsedge2473 some people enjoy buying Tesla at 100x earnings and doubling their money when it hits 200x earnings. Other people enjoy buying unwanted companies with a significant turnaround potential and doubling their money. Its really just a personal preference. Sure, but none of these things matter if the price for commodity x goes 5x. Suddenly cash flows are in the green and everyone is doing fine, even the bad actors. You could make the story more complicated for a complete picture, nothing wrong with that, but you don't need to.

Thank you for your videos... BTC price has been volatile lately, but I believe it's crucial to focus on educating newcomers on strategies beyond simply holding through market dips. One advantage of this space is the ability to buy during dips and actively trade, generating profits while awaiting inevitable price increases. Many people lack a deep understanding of how this market operates. Charts cannot predict asset movements with certainty; prices fluctuate up and down. Despite this volatility, the market remains profitable.... I have managed to grow a nest egg of around 100k to a decent 432k in the space of a few months... I'm especially grateful to Loraine Souvenir, whose deep expertise and traditional trading acumen have been invaluable in this challenging, ever-evolving financial landscape.

Hi Sven, on the 2E supply demand chart, they are saying 2E market is in deficit short term and medium term. In longer term there will be surplus as they assume 50% of current demand for 2E used in auto industry will disappear. They are saying there is dislocation between short term price and fundamental.
I'm long SBSW (I think you have the ticker wrong in your title btw!) at an average of 6.5, so it's good to see some positive view on the stock from you :)

Investing in individual stocks can be a lucrative strategy, but it requires careful consideration and research. Different stocks offer various growth potentials and risks. Some may provide steady dividends, while others focus on capital appreciation. It's essential to diversify your stock portfolio to mitigate risk. Consulting a financial advisor can help tailor a strategy based on your risk tolerance, investment goals, and market conditions.
Absolutely, I've been exploring the world of stock investing recently. There's so much information out there, and it can be overwhelming. I'm thinking about tech stocks, given their historical performance, but I'm not sure where to start. Any advice?

I've had success with a mix of growth stocks and dividend-paying stocks. However, staying informed and regularly reviewing your portfolio is crucial. Have you considered consulting a financial advisor to help guide your stock investment strategy?
That sounds like a solid approach. I'm looking to dip my toes into stock investing as well. Do you have any recommendations for a good financial advisor who specializes in stock market strategies?

It's not just about having money to invest in stocks; it's about knowing the right strategies for profit and managing risk. That's why working with an investment advisor is important-they have insights not available to everyone.

@popeyeSailor-e5v I did just buy more, last week. Significantly averaged down with this purchase. I first bought in the big dip in 2021. Biggest issues for SBSW, side from the cyclics Sven mentioned, is they are incorporated in South Africa. Do a lot of research on this situation because I think it holds them back significantly. If they reincorporated in a friendlier country to business, I'd be a very happy investor. The CEO is pretty darn good, although the debt looks shortsighted. In August 2024, it secured a 1.8 billion rand ($98.7 million) gold prepayment deal. In December 2024, the company entered into a $500 million precious metals streaming agreement with Franco-Nevada, exchanging future gold and platinum production for immediate cash. Additionally, Sibanye Stillwater faces legal challenges. In October 2024, London's High Court ruled that the company must compensate Appian Capital Advisory for canceling a $1.2 billion deal to acquire Brazilian mines. The exact amount of damages will be determined in a hearing scheduled for November 2025.
