Magicforce 68 Lubed Gateron Browns with Typing Sounds

I've been using the Magicforce 68 with Gateron Brown Switches for quite a few years now as my daily driver. To upgrade it, I swapped the keycaps and lubed the switches with Tribosys 3203. It was my first time lubing switches, but I think it turned out pretty well.

Was there a tutorial you followed? Any benefit of lubing it? I heard the sound but does it make that much difference? What was thensoldering done for? I’ve never seen this hence the questions
