Content creators of all experience levels can raise the production values of their videos, interviews, and streaming with the DJI Mic 2, an easy-to-use, truly wireless digital microphone/recorder system that offers vivid audio quality while supplying all the elements needed to capture audio from your subject to a DSLR/mirrorless camera or iOS/Android smartphone. The system records clear and reliable audio at up to 820' via a miniature clip-on omnidirectional mics/transmitters, which double as backup recorders for worry-free wireless. The tiny receiver can either be mounted on a DSLR camera or plugged directly into the Lightning/USB port of a smartphone or laptop. Simply complete the initial setup and you can be ready to record quality audio in seconds.
Second-Generation Updates
The new iteration of the Mic 2 features updated transmitter units with 2.4 GHz digital wireless and Bluetooth technology. Bluetooth allows you to connect the transmitters to your DJI Mimo app via iOS or Android device. You can even connect directly to your Osmo Pocket 3 or Osmo Action 4 camera. Toggle different settings via the Mimo app like intelligent noise cancellation, which reduces environmental noise for improved vocal capture or 32-bit float audio recording.
Wearable and Portable Microphones
For a truly wireless experience, conveniently attach the transmitters to whatever you're wearing via the integrated back clips (or by using the clip magnets) without having to wire yourself or your talent.
You can also hold the transmitters in your hand and use them as handheld microphones. Use the transmitters as a lavalier mic (no need for a separate mic), or operate them as traditional bodypack transmitters by plugging external lav mics (available separately).
The built-in mics feature an omnidirectional pickup pattern that ensure reliable speech capture, even if mic placement is less than ideal; your subject's voice is captured with clarity, intelligibility, and consistency.
Two furry windscreens are provided to effectively suppress wind noise while still recording clear sound.
Enjoy 6 hours of battery life on each component for 18 hours of recording in total.
High-Quality Audio with Flexibility for Postproduction
DJI Mic 2 allows you to record high-fidelity, professional audio by accurately reproducing tone across a wide frequency range. To ensure that you are capturing a clean signal, you can monitor your sound via the receiver's 3.5mm headphone output while recording.
The Safety Track mode enables you to record a secondary audio track (in mono) as a backup with a lower volume of -6 dB (different from the main audio track), helping to safeguard your audio in case of unforeseen level spikes.
Built-In Recorder and Safety Track
The transmitters have onboard recording capabilities with 8GB of storage for up to 14 hours of 48 kHz 24-bit backup recording. This allows you to record audio directly to the transmitters as a backup in case of wireless interference and dropouts. You can also use the transmitters as standalone recorders.
Files are in 48 kHz/24-bit mono WAV format and can be transferred to your computer via the USB-C cable. Toggle 32-bit float recording via Mimo app.
Reliable and Secure Wireless with Encryption
The DJI Mic 2 is capable of recording crisp audio at distances of up to 820' using DJI's encryption technology for secure communications.
The optimized wireless transmission system ensures a stable and reliable stream of audio, even in busy areas, such as train stations, shopping malls, and offices.
The system avoids interference from TV and radio waves by operating in the 2.4 GHz frequency band, which occupies frequencies beyond those of television, radio transmissions, and UHF wireless microphone systems.
.
Vastly Compatible
If you want to use the DJI Mic 2 with a smartphone, just insert either the Lightning or USB-C adapter into the expansion port at the bottom of the receiver and connect it to your phone and start shooting. These adapters support stereo audio playback without needing to unplug the receiver. Use the 3.5mm TRS cable to connect the camera's 3.5mm mic connector to the receiver's 3.5mm audio-output connector and start filming on your camera. The 3.5mm adapter supports automatic power on/off in sync with the power status of your camera.
Congratulations! You're the only reviewer I've seen to be brutally honest. Not a PRODUCT FANBOY. If the product is garbage, worth the money or not,you tell the truth. Appreciate you brother!
Glad I could help!
With what program or how do you EQ your sound? I do gym videos and it definitely need some EQ.
Thanks for this video. Really powerful subscribed for the support 👍🏾💯
I’m using adobe premier to EQ my audio
Cool that DJI have sent you the product already ! You kept well the secret 😆
Honestly felt like Christmas
Congrats on being sent the Mic 2 before its release, thats big. You have quality content and that goes a long way.
Much appreciated!
btw - the biggest W goes to the receiver. the wheel to get fast into menus is absolutely a game changer
Glad they added that similar to the hollyland max
Pretty sure they heard what you said earlier. Good work!
Glad you told me to wait I think I’m just going to buy it tomorrow on Amazon
Make an EQ tutorial ahaha, I lke the way it sounded after you did the EQ
Stay tuned!
The price is really good, definitely going to pay up and get this over the Rode Go 2. Now I can be the 32 bit floating snob. 😂
I always go cheap, but this time I am going with the best. I don't need it right now, so I can afford to wait and cool off.
This time it’s worth getting the full kit, I’m replacing my other 32bit interfaces
Wow good for you awesome
Thank you
Also do you know when they will be available at like Best Buy and such?
Don’t have that info, maybe check BH photo
somehow the old design of the case were my jam. the new stly is a bid odd to me. also the transparent design of the mics is pretty meh. would have benn cool if there would be a total white kit. like that much. what i am asking, how to put on stose dead cats? or did i miss it in the video? Currently the dji mic set is rd.bt. 220ish available. i'm struggling which one to buy. i am also afraid of the cold shoe, that's now fixed and not detachable, means, if the rubber is gone, it's pretty lose. had this issue with the dji 1 and it was hard to get replacement for that adapter.
The dead cats store in the provide carrying pouch nicely (designated sections)
I’d go with the mic 2 because of the 32bit float.
You can add black vinyl tape over transmitter to cover up glossy transparent look
@@Fredo.heavyy haha i bet that will look as beautiful as the opac style :D
i just ordered them and gonna test side by side with my dji 1, to have a better look and if 100 bucks more are worth it.
Does it work when you do a live stream with Android phone ?
Via usb c yes haven’t tested with Bluetooth
@Fredo.heavyy without cable.
Plz check it out. We want to know that works via Bluetooth.
I always wonder how to get products for review. I got to 1k subs, but after a year I wasn’t growing & I paused making content. Spent way too much on gear 😂
Consistency and luck honestly
Keep it up, going to sub & might even get back to creating! Thx
@@AJCoReTVfor 17 years 1k sub shows you were never consistent..
@@roninr8199you think when I first signed up for YT I was trying to grow a channel? Lol you got 8 years & zero uploads… nice! Keep it up.
If you have an Action 4, please try putting it in the black case that comes with the combo and tell me how well it fits. I hated the black bag for the DJI Mic 1. Stuff fell out all the time!!! Thanks!
Don’t have an action 4 maybe DJI will send me a Pocket osmo 3
I've enjoyed my Rode system but I can see buying this to use with my DJI products or as the alternative if the Rode let me down. Thanks for the early start posting videos.
No giveaway😊
