June 17, 2019. Milking, bedding, vaccinating cattle, scraping out barns and other jobs on a monday. Nothing to exciting, but things that need to be done. Thanks for watching!
One thing that all farmers know. The stock comes first. they get fed and bedded, and, milked and then the farmer eats their breakfast. It has always been this way, and, always will.
Matthew Parsons welcome to farm/ranch life. It definitely is a pain in the ass on those days you don’t feel as good, because you HAVE to get up and tend to your animals, regardless of how you feel
Do think people living in large cities don't have quality lives? If cow were not happy they wouldn't make 30 thousands pounds. Cow comfort is the key to success if the cows are not happy you don't make milk. Cows don't mind living in cities.
I love what you do. I'm happy you stayed in the family business. Alot of childern do not follow their parents traditions anymore. You got something Magical, you have a purpose every morning, everyday, All day. I'm happy for you. I'm in the process of trying to find property to do the same but on a Much smaller Scale lol. You guys have millions of dollars worth of land and equipment that took your family the last 10 generations to aquire. You shouod feel proud of your family heritage. Hopefully one day in the the next 5 years I can show my childern how people are supposed to live side by side with animals. Thank you for the videos, iv been watching them daily trying to catch up. Hope you have a good day. Tim.
Psalm 104: 23 Man goeth forth unto his work and to his labour until the evening. 24 O LORD, how manifold are thy works! in wisdom hast thou made them all: the earth is full of thy riches. God bless you Eric !
Much respect seeing these vids. If there's anything I like about the internet its seeing ways of life you didnt think you could "live". Seeing you work this hard in the mornings definitely makes me wanna try harder to do more in the mornings than I usually do.
Your dad must really appreciate all of your hard work. I know that I am blessed to have both my twin sons in our home renovations business. Not only do I enjoy working with them, they have also taken a lot of responsibility on over the years. They are a huge help to me.
Not sure how I stumbled upon your page, but I'm grateful I did. As someone who works in Supply Chain within the food industry, without the work from you, your family, and others alike, we would truly not exist. Thank you-you ARE appreciated!
Thanks mate. City folks have no idea. Your dad must be proud; independent, hardworking, smart! You are amazing. Keep the videos coming please. Makes me miss my farming days as a kid.
I've been looking through your videos the last couple of days. I've really enjoyed them. I grew up in rural Wisconsin and went to school with a lot of farmers kids. Many of them that also intended to go into farming. It was in the early and mid 1980's and at the time farmers were hurting really bad. I personally thought it was the worst environment in farming in history. Including the great depression. I ended up in aerospace & aviation. I would often see equipment running on farms as I drove by and had no idea what any of those things were doing. I really appreciate the work you do and the effort it takes to put these videos up on RUclips. I know that it's time consuming just to edit and upload, so thank you very much for my dinner and the time it takes to show me where it comes from.
I just finished watching all your videos. I am impressed. Not only do you have to know how to milk cows but you also have to be a mechanic, carpenter, farmer, vet, videographer and a comedian. Keep up the good work. I can’t wait for your next installment. I’m hooked!
Geez... video after video I am really impressed by you... bravo young man bravo... your parents should be proud of you which I'm sure they are... I would like to see you make a video on an off day see what your into... happy farming brother
Hey Buddy! Im a Carpenter from England, I've just discovered your channel and i love it! With the Little spare time i have i enjoy watching! IF i could change my job now i'd for sure be a farmer in the Highlands of Scotland, Hard graft, Constantly busy and doing a great job on the farm! I will be watching all uploads! Keep at it and keep up the great work
Man this brings me back. I worked my neighbors dairy farm from middle school thru high school. I would bring the smell of the farm to class every morning :))) Thanks for the videos and helping feed the country ♡
Your videos are very good and your work in the farm is amazing, I also have a farm in italy, here we don’t have all that equipment, here we do stuff the old way, with pretty old and small tractors! Keep the videos coming because we all love them!
A Dairy guys day never ends. Not like us spoiled Beef Ranchers!! Lol. Anyways great seeing a young guy motivated and competent enough to run a Dairy operation so well. Keep up the good work. Cheers 🍻
I myself am a 3 rd generation dairy farmer, it’s very cool to see how much better and more advanced your farm is. Keep posting your videos they’re really inspiring :)
Love your videos, Eric. I have the utmost of respect for all dairy farmers who are the hardest working people I have ever known. I do have to admit to saying "WHAT?!" out loud the first time you said "my wife". Starting early. Best wishes for a long and happy life together.
love seeing another aspect of the ag industry! my family ranches, we raise commercial and registered herefords in south texas, between san antonio and ciudad acuna
My dad's whole family are generations od dairy farmers but we grew up in the city then moved to a small hobby farm and my brothers both have gone into dairy farming and I have since I found out my dad was a dairy farmer, I wanted to be just like him , it's also a dream! I can't wait to go next year 🤞🤞🤞
Hi Eric; I’ve been watching a lot of dairy RUclips videos and there are very few where things are kept very clean. In the barn or the cows. There is also not very much cleaning of the nipples of each cow before milking. Your farm is one of the cleanest and well maintained of the ones I’ve seen. Keep up the great job.
Just subscribed to your channel. I love this. This is true reality TV! The cows remind me of my grandpa and all the time I spent helping him with his cattle.
I just subscribed. I was raised on a farm when I was younger. We had pigs though..but my husbands family raised 🐄. Interesting to watch. Thx for the video..there are not many young ppl that know hard work. You do! I think that's a good thing. You are really knowledgeable.
Could you do a video on your thoughts And response to all of the recent dairy farming criticism and the vegan movement. I would love to here your point of view on this subject.
I'm vegan and appreciated the hard work this guy does. My grandma also owns a livestock farm of cows, goats, and chickens. They live well. I'm clearly still very against animal consumption and livestock farming but I acknowledge that not all farms are as bad as factory farms. My main reason for being against them is because I'm against animal slaughter just as anyone would be for dogs. Also, most other livestock farms do not give care to their cows. The other reason being we dont need cow's milk, and lastly because of the negative environmental effects from livestock farms. Much respect for this kid for his dedication but if anyone is seeing this video, Id hope they remain open minded to see videos on other farms that keep their animals in very poor conditions.
Thanks for laying your chosen occupation out here for us to see, as you can tell trying to put it out here for a public that doesn't want to be educated but are plenty willing to condem all your hard work and careful care as being inhumane will never understand what it takes to make a living from land and livestock !! I appreciate it a lot and watch for the entertainment value and to see the different ways different operations accomplish the same goals. Do you use the saw dust because of availability , price ,or preference ? Looks like it would cause problems with the slat openings , bet it smells good when you add the lime !! Thanks for the video!
Thanks for the comment. I'm hoping these videos put a positive light on the dairy industry. We use shavings because of price and preference. We like it better than straw
Found your channel a couple days ago and just binge watched a whole lot of em. Its crazy how much technology is at a farm, or at least a dairy farm. No wonder back in the day farmers had like 5000 kids
Love the videos, you give me hope for our country, most kids around your age would have to Google to see where there milk comes from. Good luck , be safe
Hey! So, I am an animal scientist but don't work with dairy. RUclips recommended me one of your videos and I'm so glad about it. I watched all the videos in the past couple days. It is pretty interesting to learn more about what it takes to produce milk and I am probably learning more with your videos than with what I learned in a classroom. Thank you for putting up such a great content
Just found your channel today but I absolutely love your videos! I’m actually interesting in trying to work on a dairy farm! Just from your videos I’m learning a lot, please keep making these! Support from Ohio 💕🐄

Hi Eric!! So funny this beautiful machine, Hey it’s paid for and it gets the job done quite nicely nothing wrong with that!!😀 Have a great rest of the week Thanks for the great video!! 🌞
Loving your videos. I'm in California's Central Valley and we are surrounded by all types of farms including dairies that I pass by all the time. I've always wondered how things work on them so it's pretty interesting to me. Thanks for the look into your life.
Helps me recall my two years on similar family dairy farms many decades ago, and so i admire both the vid quality and work life of Eric, our narrator here. I learned and enjoyed much but there was a side effect easily overlooked...social isolation of a young person. After periods of farm work, and then at some social function among young people, I'd be completely awkward, shy, and often an unwilling loner. Maybe it was worse then or I am a natural bore, but farm life was not conversation material. All the best to farm workers everywhere and especially to young and single men and women; try your best to keep social with folks your age, make it a regular thing somehow!
Hello from California's Central Valley! Awesome videos, beginning to think Google knows a bit to much about my life if your channel popped up in my recommended! Keep it up.
As a city boy, words can’t describe how appreciative I am of hard working people like yourself. Thank you.
Why does it look like one man is keeping this entire operation running ?!
As a farm boy I agree
I don't know how these people wake up at those times every day, I couldn't do it

Somehow, i find those manure scraping videos really satysfying.

I know right. So true
And at one point I could almost smell it 😂😂
Definitively better than the "ole Jack Armstrong" method!
“Not sure what RPM’s where running at”

Glad you still put them to pasture. Some of the dairy farms near me never let them out of a barn, not exactly a quality life.
I think that’s becuase they are purely grain fed and can’t eat grass but I could be wrong
If its muddy in the pastures then they wont let them out as the more bacteria that gets on the utters the more likely they will get mass idies
@@blackbolt0253 true. Some of the large ones near where i grew up keep them in barns year round.
