Donington Park - Crash and Action - CSCC Weekend - March 2024

- A weekend that not only went wrong for some of these drivers, but also went a bit topsy-turvy for me. Rather irritatingly, preceding the Saturday lunch break, my SD decided that breaking was the preferred option, and therefore I lost all of my footage from qualifying...
I wasn't going to let this get me down and managed to come away with action from the rest of another excellent Classic Sports Car Club race meeting. You can't go too far wrong when almost all grids are at maximum capacity with the usual wacky range of cars, all of which are being driven on the absolute limit.

Well done Jack. Got my little lock up avoiding Mick Dwayne’s Clio at the end there! 2 positions, thank you very much.
Shocking driving at 1:44. Could see it from a mile off
I agree, #53 was nuts. Only put the brakes on when #333 was 45 degrees across the nose.
i was saying that was brilliant timing for that move when they hit that corner...
What were they doing, all over the track on the way down the hill, caused an accident, which cretin passed that moron at the ARDS test, or were they drunk? Worryingly low standards.
I saw this on the live stream and you could see an accident pending from midway down the craner curves. Fulfilled by Starkeys Bridge...
Very poor wasn’t it! Surely he got a slap on the wrists for that.
Was a great meeting - averaging over 36 cars per grid is amazing (especially considering one grid only had 18 cars).
The state of the grass after all that rain though 😳. Very lucky a few didn't dig in and roll
Yeah mate, the grass looks like a nightmare!
Another great vid! 3:43 reminded me of the Lindes 😂
Great video :) i was just at this weekend it was very enjoyable
53 needs to be banned, totally did that on purpose.
Was on post 6 flagging both days and that grass was a nightmare
Excitement and adrenaline sometimes takes over. Quite a bit of tagging as with TR and Lotus. Reminds me of mini verses mustang along straights mustang then corner it’s mini. Respect. Have safe fun.
@0:34 bro needs to call his sponsor
Proper heart in mouth stuff at 2:00! 😮💨
Some hooligans on this track man!😮
You have obviously never done any circuit driving. Very tricky and slippery conditions, very easy to make a mistake or go off!
Try driving at any teamsport/(whatever the rebrand is now) indoor karting circuit in Liverpool, super slippery and the karts only just grip up
After many happy years cub racing there, nothing changes - i.e if it was meant to have a spoiler it would have been built with one - never seen any car with an after market spoiler win any club race.
hope to see you on 1st april :D
Unfortunately I did the Brands Hatch truck meeting instead; hopefully I'll get you later in the year!
172 MG so lucky not to roll.
Some terrible driving - I see why the CSCC emailed about driving standards!
Did that go out to the whole club? I got it in Tin Tops. I know there were some tangles between cars being lapped in our race.
@1:44 Shockingly poor driving from car N° 53, Roy Chamberlain. Is this banger racing?
Just a 60 second penalty from CSCC which is worrying.
How does he think that a TR 250 can keep up with a Lotus Elan which is 7-8 seconds faster a lap?
Was that Roy - and he’s still racing???
@@meltdownman8911 He was listed by the CSCC as driving on the time sheets.
some very poor driving like wacky races
Christ there's some shocking driving standards in this lot 👀
