Crazy Tube Circuits have made their 80s in a box pedal smaller AND given it more power but it's so much more than just the music you hear at weddings.
The Sidekick Jr has independent Modulation (Chorus, Flanger), Delay (Tape and Digital) and Reverb (9 different types). This could cover most gigs even when they are not 80s themed parties.
Guitars - Vola and Fender

Smells like more than a feeling.
Definitely going to buy one. That eliminates my entire pedalboard. But I don’t understand all the hate for 80s music. Yeah, I remember how stupid it was and I didn’t listen to it at the time myself. I got more into the power metal / thrash metal scene, but I always recognized great guitar playing in it. I still can’t listen to Poison but I learned a few of their songs because there’s some great riffs. Perfect learning exercise.
A lot of people don´t like 8Os music because they only know the cheesy, played-over-and-over singles. They have no idea what they are missing.
I've just ordered the 67EUR guitar thanks to your review. I like your energy and presentation. Keep it up :)
Will do!
So for about 290 buckaroos, I can be a super hero??? (Because superheroes have sidekicks?) sounds good to me!
I like how you review stuff. Subscribed :)
This Pedal is F amazing
I think I'm going to have to buy this pedal, looks and sounds incredible! Great review, thank you.
You’re welcome. It’s a great pedal
@@TheGuitarGeek yeah, I'm sold. The lab coat was a great addition btw. 😂
@@evolv_85 The Scientist Jacket really sold me, too. This pedal is good because Science.
everything you could want in your exf loop in one compact lil unit! superb sounds sir great top 5.
nice jacket, how long before it has solder burns and hints of overspray on it? 2 maybe 3 days?
Poo
@@JaniceLalla 👋🏽
Nice sound 👊🏿
Hopefully the 80s will continue to grab you more and more.
I'm in my early 50s, so I may be a bit biased, but once you wade through the cheese, 80s music was the best!
Honestly, I am coming around...
Quite the space saver!
You get a lot of "Bang for the buck" with this pedal...
Wauw, that is a great pedal for all your coverband gigs indeed. Perhaps this can replace 2 delays, a reverb and a chorus pedal on my pedal board... more room for FUZZZZZZ :P
how did i not see that!!! With less other pedals there is more FUZZ space
And it sounds pretty damn good on to of that.
I like that pedal
It's even the same colors as the '80's! Not a big '80's fan, but that is a cool pedal!!
the colours are cool. Very Nintendo
If i can hook up my microphone with a lo Z adapter as well as guitar i am in!
.."but do I really *need* that extra chorus and those gated and spring reverb settings?", the viewer asked himself as he watched the cheery chap with the teeth and curls demonstrate the sounds of a decade long since dead and the ambient sounds he currently enjoyed in his advancing years...
Did you also just describe me? I think you did 😂

My only complaint is that this doesn’t appear to be able to be used in stereo, considering that was pretty much the whole reason those big rack rigs were a thing it seems like a missed opportunity.
I’m sure it would’ve driven the price up for a feature not many would use, so I get why they just went mono, but it’s still a shame!
In my opinion all of these FX should automatically have a stereo or a dry through like the cheaper “stereo chorus” the dry through wouldn’t add much cost and they could’ve even used a trs Jack output and maybe kept the same layout. I just think a chorus should always have a stereo option and I can imagine a stereo delay being a ton of fun. Like you said probably 90 percent will never use a duel output but for a pedal this expensive it should be standard at least in delay and modulation type FX .
Does it stack well with another delay and reverb pedal? Im never content with just one.
Andy, have you been practicing your guitar a bit more actively lately, I think your playing improved❤
⚓️ Thanks GG 🇬🇧
you are welcome!
Proceeds to play 90s music.
Exactly
While not cheap it's decent value for money and a nice problem-solver for those who are tight on pedalboard space.
Very much so at less than 100 per effect
Rev+Echo+Chorus = Cocteaw Twins, one cannot just hate CT.
Dear Andy....is the pedal's output a TRS (so u can have a mono or stereo output)...stereo output using a Y-Cable)? I just wished it has MIDI & presets....ah well.....
Sorry to hear but for me its all about the 80’s. What a great era of bands like U2, Simple Minds, Inxs, Def Leppard, The Cult, Bon Jovi, Europe etc etc. The music was lovely, melodic and huge. Therefore will U2 always be the best band ever. 😃
Madonna, The Beasties Boys, New Order, Berlin, Spandau Ballet, Bruce Springsteen, Pat Benatar, Michael Jackson, The New Kids On The Block, REM, The Waterboys, Kenny Loggins, Phil Collins, Rick James, The Go-Gos, Pet Shop Boys, Yaz, Squeeze, When In Rome, The Pointer Sisters, Paula Abdul, Tom Petty, The Alarm, Adam Ant, NWA, Van Halen, Depeche Mode, The Bangles, Tracy Chapman, David Bowie, Quiet Riot, The Police/Sting, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Rush, Queen, Devo, Poison, Men At Work, Run DMC, Culture Club, Billy Joel, Hall & Oats, Prince...
What is " '80s Music"?
Crazy Tube Circuits Teeny Tiny Toolbox!
thomann's link have been broken for some time, from everyone.
Works for me and a few others. Are you using some kind of ad blocker?
I have The Wobbly Knobs first album. With the original line up. They sold out after that.
I like it but im kinda not really into encyclopedia s or options
Sound like a pedal for the kind of music I like.. Oh I am getting old ;-)
Not old, refined!
I was born in 90 and I like 50's and 60's as well :D. I am not getting old. Since I was very young age, I liked the older music as well. Good music is good music.
@@mylogify Yes, we shall not get old but classic or vintage ;-)
Lol "Scientist Jacket."
Seems rsther cool to me i like the idea a multi pedal thats not a real multi pedal
More white coat please Andy.... RUclips needs more white coat! 🙂
Doesn't like the 80s, winds up looking like Dr. Fink from The Revolution.
Hates on 80’s music but plays 90’s and 00’s music as 80’s music
Neat pedal but soon AI will replace all of us so what's the point?
You can’t hate 80’s power pop-a reaction against most 80’s cheese and overbearing drums.
Funny, I've covered over 90% of gigs with no pedal.
Funny, 90% of nothing is still nothing
I’m glad I didn’t listen to those
I don’t believe it
Believe it Victor!
Not interested in the 80s unless it makes me sound like the stone roses the 80s were bad enough the first time round Thatcher stole my milk:-)
"80's music really turns me off" - unsubscribe ;-)
80's guitar driven music was mostly shit with awful productions, but there's still a few gems, like Living Colour.
It’s hard to call Living Color an 80’s band when their main hit if not their only hit was in 1990. Sure they formed in 1988 at the end of the 80’s but their success was in the 90’s
