Keep in mind it's AM5, if your upgrading to a 7000 series from a 5 series, you'll have to upgrade the entire system. Am4 and am5 is completely different

That cpu was an absolute nightmare two different chips two different motherboards two different ram kits and no matter what I did no matter what speed ram was always unstable with the X 3D chips Jaystwocents actually switched back to intel because of his issues with the 7950x3d so if you get one of this hope you get lucking and its stable because for me and many others dosent matter what bios i had this chip never properly worked it only happens on x3d chips horrible ram stability even at 5200 or 4800 mhz didnt matter wouldnt boot

ryzen 9 overall is a workstation cpu that is on am5 and the x3d variant is just a binned 7800x3d with a 7700x ccd as well which makes no sense but if u want absolute max performance you can just disable the fast non 3d v cache ccd and make it act like a perfect 7800x3d

8000g cpus are almost identical to 7000 non-x cpus, but with a gtx 1650 slapped on, so i wouldnt personally consider an upgrade. 9000 should be am5
