  • A fire ripped through a B-listed tenement in Glasgow with a “substantial” part of the roof lost.
The blaze broke out in the empty building on Carlton Place, on the River Clyde after 8pm on Monday with Scottish Fire and Rescue Service sending nine appliances to the scene.
Fire crews were still battling the fire as of Tuesday morning.
This is the second time the building has gone on fire this year.
Five teenagers were rescued from inside on January 27 after a blaze the police said was started deliberately took hold.
The B-listed building has been vacant since 2018.
A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: “One fire appliance and a high reach appliance remain at the scene.
