When you commit everything you have to one area of your life, the idea of it falling apart looms with such heavy importance. The song is written from the perspective of toying with that fear, allowing your weakness to overcome before you lose everything in a means outside of your control.
This is crack to my ears. I like having more members on vocals, and I think the singing chorus was done well. Saying the name of the song then a breakdown. You really can't go wrong with this.
Just saw them live. They don’t actually play their instruments live. Besides the drums and maybe the bass. They definitely were “show playing.” This is happening way too often now. If your band can’t come together and play live, guess what? You’re not a band, just actors. Milly Vanilli would be proud.

I couldn’t get into Emmas vocals right away BUT then I got to see them live on the Private Room 2.0 tour in 2019 & they were incredible, & then I listened to their debut album & everything changed, I fell in love. & now these new songs sound even more incredible. Invent Animates album Heavener has been my album of the year since it dropped but Symptoms of Survival may be the album to take its spot 🔥

This band has a crazy style blend and I love it.. its like some knocked loose chugs with a dash of Kublai khan and the cherry on top is the classic riff style and chorus' of early metalcore (i.e. early BFMV and AILD) its fuckin nutty and im here for it.. might just be me but also sounds like Emma has a new vocal style that im really digging too ..may just be the mixing but regardless it sounds great

This isn’t hardcore. Hardcore started in the mid to late 70’s with bands like the germs or black flag. This is just noise and screaming
