    It was used for slipping trees length wise down the middle like a splitting maw it's why it's so thick

    Weight is what makes a good axe, hmmm wonder if it wasn't a better axe before the weight loss. Guess we'll never know

      It's more like a splitting maw except these were for splitting the tree length wise down the middle the would use a couple and hammer them in until it split the tree into two long halfs
