Thanks for the comment. Actually did two engines like this, but the videos were almost identical, so the other one not downloaded!

compliments! A perfect job ! I did not understand what is "Air cooler top conversion kit "….have you a serial Volvo's number, please? Which are advantages? Best. Luigino, Italy

+aqua Thank you for the comment. Before the conversion the air cooler tops were bronze with the sockets for the inlet and outlet seawater copper pipes. As I was changing to hoses, like the later engines, I needed a top with two pipes so I could slide the hoses on and fix with a hose clip. The later plastic type has this and the kit that I purchased also included the inlet and outlet hoses, which were a crazy price if purchased separately. The kit part number is : 876579.I also changed the oil coolers so there was no problems fitting the other end of the hoses to this. If you just change the air cooler top I guess you only need a short length of hose to connect the pipe on the top to the existing copper pipe. My copper seawater pipes were getting a bit bad so decided to change to all rubber hoses, but this required changing the air cooler top cover, the oil cooler (I sold the old original oil coolers), and the seawater pump.

+rolyace09 thank you for your answer. From the video , it also appears that smoke less … is it true?

+aqua I would say that the smoke is about the same really. The 41A engines always smoked at low load, especially with cold engine in cold weather. I had previously removed the exhaust elbows with the solenoid operated flaps, which did not make any difference. This time also fitted the Volvo upgrade turbos, which promise better economy and less smoke - I cannot see much difference. The turbos are not doing much at low powers anyway, so did not really expect too much.

+rolyace09 it seems that a more powerful air filter (K&N filter or Walker High-Air) works better and reduce smoke ..... it seems ….
      ciao
