Although not the best quality its definitely powerful!
Young Rell captivated an almost full theater of about 400 or so people, and it was his Chicago performance debut.
It was captured by Mrs. Rosa Branch (wife of the legendary Billy Branch) on January 13th at an event held at the Reva & David Logan Center for the Arts, which featured Billy Branch and The SOB's, Carlos Johnson, Stephen Hull, and The Experience feat. Andrew Alli. Mrs. Branch states in her life description, and I quote,
"17-year-old musician Harrell "Young Rell" Davenport impressed Chicago Blues fans Saturday night at the Reva and David Logan Center of the Performing Arts! Few musicians have the skills or charisma to go solo in front of a full theater, but Young 'Rell has the chops, stage presence, and soul of an old bluesman, which is why the crowd stood to applaud him at the end of his set. Follow him on social media for Blues lessons, insights, and factoids. Even Billy Branch says, "Ask Rell" when we're wondering historic details like, "Who's playing guitar or drums on a particular old recording?" I can say we are reassured about the future of the Blues after tonight's concert." End quote.
I hope that you all enjoy this video.
