- Every single cymbal from the new for 2020 Meinl HCS Bronze series demoed side by side.
I had a blast checking this series out, and I can truthfully HIGHLY recommend these cymbals for anyone who's a beginner drummer or has a tight budget for cymbals. They're probably the most bang-for-your-buck series that Meinl makes, and I was also pleasantly surprised by how well they recorded.
Minimal EQ/Compression done to the overheads and cymbal sound overall here. I kept the exact same mix settings for every cymbal, too, so any difference in volume/sound between them is 100% caused by the cymbal itself.

That 20" crash ride sounds absolutely insane. Honestly thinking about picking one up.
Man, budget Cymbals have come a long way. some of these sound really nice. 18" Trash China is my favorite along with all the splashes. expensive splashes never made sense to me anyway.

I have the 18 crash, 14 hi-hats and the 10 splash. They are really amazing to play with and have a amazing sound

Those bell cymbals are killer.
Meinl trash chinas are just great, in any series whatsoever. This was not the exception! That 18" is a metal beast.

@@RyoCanCan hmm, I don't think that is the case. The Classics line is pretty popular and still on their site. MCS isn't though.

Not quite as good as the Mb8 or the Amun series, but it's incomparably better than the former MCS series. Great job on demoing these cymbals, keep going 👌
I MIGHT be wrong but I'm pretty sure both the Mb8 and Amun series were set at a higher price point. I was surprised by how great these HCS Bronze's sounded considering the price. And thanks man, I appreciate it!
Of course! Mb8-s had a rather ridiculous price back in the day compared to these guys, they definitely did an amazing job here

They come in brass at a cheaper price. The bronze is a step between hcs brass and mcs

I use the 20" ride as my main left ride. I don't consider it a beginner ride.
I was thinking about going Meinl Classics but for now🤔🤔🤨the HCS video may have just tipped the scales for me.
