Good teaching by Dr.Steven Lawson about how to get to the will. First to the mind , second to the heart and finally the will. Thank you.

Thank you Dr Lawson. I pray that everyone who enter the pastoral service and preach the Word of God wil proudly, willingly and tearfull boast on the cross of Christ (Gal 6:14) and ask to God a pure hart and a clean conscience to admit your own need in a helpless state. I may sing love you Lord (Salm 118).

Javis, We are releasing a new class once a month on the Vimeo site. This class will not be posted though. Dr. Lawson asked that it not be put on RUclips, but I do have it up unlisted for the guys that took the class and wanted to watch it again. Until Dr. Lawson changes his mind, this is the only place it will be sadly.

I'm in guatemala it is so difficult to travel to U.S. and under my circumstances I'd have to sell my soul to afford good solid theological training. this has blessed me so much. I Love you guys so much for uploading this.
I do have a question though. what commentaries does Dr. Lawson use? I have one John macarthur's I'd love to know other solid ones. please

What textbook is being used for this class? Dr. Lawson references it several times but he never states the title. Does anybody know?

You either believe you’re walking in the power and faith of Christ and ask them if they know in their hearts they are saved and let the Holy Spirit work, or you’re just practicing.

So in this theological system, it sounds like you can be born again/ regenerate - before faith in Jesus? But without faith you cannot be saved, thus you can be born again and be damned?

Don't ever say that being led by the Spirit will only result in deceiving people! Why quote the devil?

  • @jemfarms8

"Don’t tell me you’ve always believed". What? Jeremiah, David, John the Baptist. God can regenerate the soul at any age. Even in the womb, obviously. Some, even today, grow up with a repentant spirit and saving faith is there from the get go. Sure, requires understanding and maturity and development. So it is with all of us. God is sovereign... not only in election, but in how and when He brings the elect in.

Every one of the people mentioned was not around after Christ died and because of that they where not apart of the New Covenant. In the New Covenant u must be Born Again. We were ALL born into sin Roman's 3:23. Because of this Christ gave His life. TO BE BORN AGAIN WE MUST humble ourselves before God, repent of our sin, believe in our heart Christ died and rose for our sins, confess our sin, and commit our life to The Lord.
YOU CANNOT HAVE FAITH IN THE WOMB NOR AS A CHILD WHO LACKS UNDERSTANDING. FAITH COMES BY HESRING AND HEARING BY THE WORD OF GOD.

@@TwitchyThelogian That is not true. John the Baptist is a biblical example of someone who was saved in the womb.

Pity Steve seems not to fully understand covenant theology. Calling children of believers (who have been baptized) to covenant faithfulness is calling them to repent and believe. Is calling them to the new birth. No true Presbyterian would fail to call people to faith. Surely, he’s heard Dr Sproul do so... they’re friends! I find those remarks about failing to do so... yes, convicting, and I hope nothing but hyperbolic. But if not spoken as hyperbole, then just not true. 'Never'... sorry. Just. Not. So. Jonathan Edwards, covenant theologian, case in point. Gerstner, Whitfield, all of the Puritans, and so very many Presbyterians today.
