Awesome! I drove these when I worked for Golden Gate Transit! What an awesome opportunity to own a model of the same buses I rode and drove!
That’s neat! Our other fishbowl bus currently under restoration was formerly from Golden Gate Transit.
@@rapidotrains , that's right! I forgot its number (I'm thinking 738?). I drove almost all of them in regular service and ended up buying one. I still have it! It's 854.
My favorite bus of all time! The TTC one in the CLRV paint colours. Absolutely love Jeremey and the Jaguar/ Lada explanation.

Loved them ever since I first saw the GM TDH 5303 in Speed. Such a wonderful looking bus.
Probably its' most famous star turn, enough so that Santa Monica Big Blue Bus pretty much has to be an unlimited-series livery for any model.

Especially from Hoboken to Manhattan from the Holland Tunnel and Jersey City, N.J. by Big Apple Buses a local New Jersey bus company. 😊 I lived in Jersey City, N.J. from 1985 til 2010.

I envy you guys. I didn't get to ride buses because I did not live in a town or city. I got to ride these a few times for various reasons but not regularly like many people did. I was 2 years old when I saw my first fishbowl bus and fell in love with it. It was all white.

Cubans in Havana,Cuba would dream of having this bus. They presently have trucks converted into buses with wood seats and no air conditioning. Plus also all fuels are rationed for all vehicles.

Love the old Fishbowls! Drove them for a few years for a charter company at Boston College.
Most were former 35-foot DART (Delaware) units ranging from 1963-79 models (hint-hint for that paint scheme!)
Neat! There are many other Fishbowl paint schemes we'd like to offer in the future
I drove these old GM buses and they were warm , comfortable throughout Bramptons ice cold winters . Much better then " rattle and roll " Nova buses .

As a small agency Sudbury would be a long shot. We're open to offering exclusive runs however to dealers and such as long as factory minimums can be met.

can you guys do a video showing how to download, print and install the route signs for the new look bus? Also, thanks a million for helping me out. I bought N scale by mistake (sorry Jeremy) and traded it at your shop on Alden Road for HO which is what I model. Looking for the 97A Yonge via Yonge Blvd bus sign which is what I rode for years back and forth in North York back in the last millennium. Say hi to Uri and Pearl, Cheers! Kevin

General shape looks like what Grays Harbor Transit had in the 1970s… would love to see that, but I would also be shocked because it was a small agency in western Washington. Maybe some had a similar yellow and brown scheme that I can pretend is it.

These particular schemes are only announced for HO scale, but we have made N scale Fishbowls in the past.
Ah yes I’ve seen a lot of fishbowls in Milwaukee and Green Bay.

OMG, a Met-Prov 70s disco ball! And then ... a NASA version! I rode one of those on the tour at Kennedy Space Center back in ... 1981? IIRC, Marriott had the contract for all the touristy stuff. Wowsers.

let's go ahead and tell it like it is. Rapido trains makes the best GM fishbowl bus available for sale not just in terms of quality but in accuracy too. The others only make the buses for those who do not care. Almost as bad as the toy tin buses of long ago. they were cartoonish and did not pretend to be right. Then a couple of European companies made and sold a few bad copies and for most of the true Fishbowl fans we had no choice. There are a couple of buses made that were better but if you know your fishbowl bus you know they goofed up too on those models. Rapido Trains came after I had purchased a bunch of bad copies looking to cut and grind, fill the mistakes to make them more palatable to me. I would actually have the only ones in metal that would be accurate. That project came to a very sudden stop. Thanks Rapido Trains

I got 3 questions.
1.) Will there ever be a 35' version in the works ?
2.) What happened to the kits ?? I wanna eventually get another 3 or 4 of those as I love the ones I bought !! Are the kits going to be back !??
3.) You mentioned about the seats ...what would you do for the ones that had the 70's-00's era plastic moulded seats ??
No 35' footer planned at this time, but anything is possible. Due to low demand from the last run we didn't include kits, but we are open to custom orders. Usually this requires a minimum of 6-pieces to meet factory requirements. Your best bet would be to contact us through our email contact form for more info.
Iconic Replicas makes the GMC Buffalo bus in 35 foot lengths and they have the correct sized side windows. You'd have to cut off a little from the front of the rear door and a little from the rear of the rear door. Glue the windows on and you have a 35 foot Fishbowl bus. I have many extra buses for conversion because I don't like 35 foot buses. I am using Rapido Trains buses to make my Iconic Replicas Buffalo buses into 40 foot Buffalo buses. Not all as I am not sure how well my conversions will go and some Greyhounds already look good in the 35 foot versions.
Any plans on doing these in n scale? Would like the CTA one.
We still have the first release N scale buses in stock, but for sure we'll look at doing another release in the future with new paint schemes,

Not planned at this time. Iconic Replicas has already done these in HO scale though
