I love how despite almost everyone agreeing on the flaws of this movie everyone agrees that Wolf was the standout/highlight of this movie.

I love how Wolf is grizzled, yet he shows care and grief for his fallen bretheren.
It's ingrained deep into their culture.
Always great seeing it though I agree
I think this is first time we've seen a Predator show respect to one of his fallen brothers.
Predators have two types of tech when it comes making sure nothing gets out or lives. They can set their bombs to explode destroying 10 city blocks or in this case implode.
In Predator 2 Keyes explains to Harrigan that their self destruct devices are capable of destroying 300 city blocks. Which is over 30 miles. 🤯
In predator 2 ,in the final battle in the ship, the dead predator was carried away by 2 others in a respectful way.
I didn't even know Predators had a "sadness noise" 3:20 -3:24 It's honestly pretty cute imo, coming from a top-tier badass elite alien hunter.
yeah they either have the intention of eradicating lives of enemies in the vicinity or just erase their technology without causing more damage
They wear a tactical nuke on their wrist controller. Likely anti-matter
I love Wolf's expression at 4:08 when he realizes the captive facehuggers got out so he's like "Son of a bitch." and immediately starts salvaging the ship for anything he can use to gear up for an extermination mission, and to avenge his fellow fallen Yautja, because he knows these things can infest and take over a planet within a week and he doesn't want his kind responsible for losing an entire planet that is often used for their own huntings. Of course, not only will the natives just get in his way, he can't count on them to do what's necessary given their lack of advanced technology compared to the Yautja. Fortunately, he was wrong about that part at the end of the film.
Edit: Dang 2 years later I forgot I made this comment, but I don't regret making it. Though idk why it sparked up some hate in the comments, or why some didn't care to read cuz they're too lazy and failed English in HS or whatever, but then they take the time to comment crying about how how I wrote an essay. Since when did having reading comprehension skill issues become a flex? 💀
Wow, that was two sentences
Lol what a bullshit. Why Yautja would be worried of losing earth to Xenomorphs if aliens are a better prey for their hunts than humans, and a better challenge for them too
@@Rottensparrow because the yautja needed the human as a host for the xenos, without the humans, the yautja would simply run out of host or a "cattle" (as they said) for them to use as the xenos breeder.
@@Rottensparrow they have honour, they are not mindless, there is no reason to allow earth to be destroyed..as the films progressed the predators become more hero like because the human characters became more pathetic.
Yeah, at the end, the the US Gov't did exactly what had to be done: nuked the entire site from above.
2:24-2:28 I like how as soon as wolf sees the ship he’s starts running at it hopping for the best even when he knows it’s a worst case scenario he’s in.
😂
Xenomorph: Acid blood dissolves anything.
Predator: Has something that dissolves Xenomorphs.
In the context of the Alien vs. Predator universe, the Predator's weapon that can dissolve Xenomorphs is typically referred to as "dissolving fluid" or "dissolving plasma." This substance is used by Predators as a defensive measure against Xenomorphs, given that Xenomorphs possess highly corrosive blood that can dissolve almost any material. The dissolving fluid or plasma is effective in neutralizing the threat posed by Xenomorph acid blood, allowing Predators to combat them more effectively in close-quarters combat.
@@efrainsoto96 that's quite fascinating cause I've been trying to figure out what that blue stuff was when i first saw it thanks for the answer
You're welcome! If you have any more questions or need further clarification about that blue stuff or anything else, feel free to ask!
Bases can destroy things like acid from what i recall if they are high enough on the scale. Super bases and super acids.
Yes, that's correct. Strong bases and strong acids can be highly reactive and can neutralize each other in a chemical reaction. Super acids, which are extremely strong acids, can donate protons more readily than traditional acids. Super bases, on the other hand, are extremely effective at accepting protons.
When a super acid and a super base interact, they can neutralize each other with a very vigorous reaction. For example, super acids like fluoroantimonic acid (HSbF6) and super bases like the alkali metal amides or sodium hydride can react intensely with each other, potentially leading to explosive reactions or significant release of heat.
I like how wolf killed all those xenomorphs and even a predalien on his own
But wolf wanted to fought honorably that's why at the end predalien able to wounded wolf with its trashing tail.
This is now one of my top favorite movie scenes of all time! It's beautifully done! No words. The emotion is conveyed through the camera.

@@derek2761 Yes my friend. I have seen it in comics. When a predator has a family relationship with another one like father and son, the old predator put his hand on the head and out of a deep respect he put down his head just for that reason. If they are they brothers out of respect all the predators just kneel down and bow down before the dead body of they brother and take him away to they mother ship. Just in the first movie with Scar predator.
Wolf wasn't going to let the disrespect slide.
Fun fact!! Theirs a deleted scene where Wolf takes off his mask and puts on his brother mask to see the recording. As he turns around the predalien has traits of a predator “ skinning his brother, I believe 3 of them” this angered wolf then the scene begins by putting on his mask and arming itself!! You can actually see the predators hanging in 4:48 or 4:47 if you look closely
It’s in the director’s cut.
the movie was so damn dark you couldnt see shit
That’s the one I had on DVD I was wondering when I watched it on TV yesterday why it didn’t have that scene I didn’t know the one where he uses a mask to see what the deceased Yautja saw was a deleted scene.
I do remember that, no idea why it got cut after release?
Halo reference just like master chief wearing a fallen marine helmet to see what happened to his unit.
The entire movie was dark as hell
It was
Yep
Yeah because we can’t see a freaking thing.
Literally
Hell, James from dead meat had to fucking brighten the film in editing just to count the bodies.
The dead Yautja Elite that was part of the guard detail of the Elder Yautja on the ship most likely was the Wolf's relative in the clan, like a son or a nephew. I found it really interesting that the distress call only went to a single Yautja warrior but as the movie goes on you begin to realize this is not your average Predator, dude is a boss. I think only Ahab has a more accomplished trophy count.
Maybe Scarface too
Or the yautja king he literally has a throne made of xenomorph skeletons
Lets not forget his ridiculous collection of hunting masks!
Would love to see a Predator movie where the Predator survives and goes back home to be praised and promoted for his successful hunt.
That would be an interesting twist on the Predator storyline! It could delve into the Predator's society and culture, showing how they view successful hunts and warriors. It would definitely offer a fresh perspective on the Predator character beyond just being a relentless hunter.
yeah idk who writes the predator dying every time but they need fired asap
Wolf is so badass he has his own chamber with trophies and weapons.
this dude did even bring his equipment, he confident with whatever he can find
But he did bring his equipment. Literally all the gear in this scene was already on him or in that case he opened. That case even came with the implosion bomb he used here too
He did bring some equipment: mask, wristblades, whip, plasmacaster and combistick. But either way, he was way underprepared for a Xeno cleanup.
What I like about this film is that Wolf realizes what is happening and what is going to happen. He doesn't want this planet to be destroyed because of the predators fault otherwise this would dishonor themselves beyond belief.
Wolf is a Yautja cleaner... He just cleans any mess that is caused by accidents. He accomplished his job by killing every single Aliens. such a badass. He deserves his own movie... Netflix, do you watch this ? come on~~!!! make some series!
We all want Wolf movie - prequel or anything!!! Wolf is the Rambo of the predator world.
It sounds like you're interested in a movie that blends the intensity and ruggedness of the "Rambo" series with the primal, survivalist elements of "Predator," and possibly involves wolves in a significant way. As of now, there isn't a specific film that fits this exact description. However, there are a few films and series you might enjoy that combine elements of survival, intense action, and wildlife:
1. **"The Grey" (2011)** - Starring Liam Neeson, this film features a group of oil rig workers who must survive against a pack of wolves in the Alaskan wilderness. It combines intense action with a survivalist theme.
2. **"Alpha" (2018)** - This film is a prequel to modern civilization, focusing on a young hunter's struggle to survive and bond with a wolf during the Ice Age.
3. **"Prey" (2022)** - A prequel to the "Predator" series, this film is set in the 18th century and features a young Comanche woman fighting against the Predator. It combines survival and intense action in a similar way to what you might be looking for.
If you're hoping for a film specifically combining Rambo-style action with wolves, that could be an intriguing concept, but it hasn't been explored in mainstream cinema yet.

I liked how the Wolf predator was so highly sufficient and prepared much like Rambo
The Wolf Predator from *Predators* does indeed share a lot of similarities with Rambo in terms of preparedness and self-sufficiency. Both characters are experts in survival and combat, equipped with an array of advanced tools and weapons. The Wolf Predator's meticulous planning and extensive arsenal, including traps and advanced technology, highlight his tactical mindset and readiness for any situation. This careful preparation and resourcefulness are traits that also define Rambo's character, making them quite comparable in their approach to overcoming challenges.

It’ll work better than turning up the brightness on the TV/monitor. Problem is that you’ll have to take the time to do that, plus render and export it at the end
Wolf doesnt have a clan..
He is Himself
The clan is with Wolf
Wolf. Highly skilled and fearsome as he was a veteran even before Dark the new Elite was trained, existed long with the council of Elder Predators. Warrior, exterminator and Destroyer of all kinds! Legends don't die and Badasses Live forever! RIP Wolf, great Warrior and unmatched Legend.
Wolf was always my favorite Predator.
the scenes of this Predator are the best of this movie
It is my 3rd favorite movie where a predator appears
Wolf Predator is my 3rd favorite Predator
This is one of the darkest movies of all time
Wolf and scar are my favorite predator
I often think of the Wolf Predator as being one of their top guys, but then another part of me wonders if he was just the guy who happened to be working that day.
This film freaked me out when I was younger
I think one of the problems with this movie was it was too dark in that the movie mostly took place at night and you really couldn't make out much of anything. There were good creature and makeup effects that were lost because the film was too dark to see much of anything. I don't know that it was just bad acting, but writing turned this movie into a teenage monster movie. We didn't spend enough time to get to know the characters to care when anything happened to them and the stories were so cut up that it was just sloppy. They could have had more of the story set in the forest with the National Guard having to clean up after the town was nuked. Seems like alot of wasted opportunities with this movie and too many cheap shots and shortcuts to reach the climax.
This movie is wayyy better than the first part.
As crazy as this sounds, if someone made a hardcore live action Sonic the hedgehog movie, Knuckles would look like this.
why everyone dislike this movie is something i´ll never understand
Say what you want about the AVP franchise at least here we get actual predators being predators and Aliens in thier true forms.
Is it just me or that kinda felt stoopid of the elder Predator to shoot a plasma inside his own ship...
Surely there's some tech that would disable the rogue alien without destroying their ship..
Ripley and crew did a better job of it 200 years later!😅
It is this kinda lazy writing that brings in inconsistency in an otherwise brilliant script/imagination
Anyone else wished Wolf survived.
This movie walked so the Battle of Winterfell could run. Seriously what were the directors thinking?
I'm a huge huge predator fan and I it kinda hurts when you don't got to see wolf again. He's the most experienced and badass pred they've ever made
I totally get that! Wolf is such a standout character in the Predator universe, bringing a unique blend of experience and intensity. His role in "AVP: Requiem" showcased his skills and made him a fan favorite. It’s always disappointing when a character with so much potential doesn’t return. What do you like most about Wolf?
I love the investigation aspect using their technology.
Wolf, that Predator is the legend!
Predator-Wolf very cool.
