I have not been keeping track of how much I actually spend in school, thus decided to document it down in this episode of Simplyshow My Life! Most, in fact, ALL of my money was spent on food, so you get to see what I ate in school for a week as well!

missed my time there 15 years ago. Food was much cheaper. For a guy and no bubble time at that era, the cost is much lower haha. Breakfast and lunch can combine and instant noodle too for being too lazy to go buy food.

我每个星期给NUS的儿子120（包括交通费），会不会给少了？ （我还以为学校吃的会比较便宜，但每餐4~5块并不便宜；他要吃好一点喝杯奶茶买包零食， 可能就捉襟见肘。）
KC Chiew 你儿子也住在宿舍吗？如果住宿舍的话，学校里的巴士是免费的。若不到学校外面吃，120应该绰绰有余！

Oops!! Forgot about that because I stay in hall and usually just take the campus bus around school, which is free! I think it’ll cost $3-4 more if I include my ride back home! ☺️☺️

Elaine Chen Hello! As food is a sensitive item, I used third party service (like @paotui.sg on IG, or 志翔杰达集运 on wechat) to help me ship the items over from taobao! Maybe I’ll do a video in the future to show you guys how I do it :)

Oh my goodness.. I never expect you spend less than $20 a day... As a pr student in SG $100 not even enough for me for a week..
I didn’t add my hostel fee inside so it might be more if I add them in! ☺️
@@AngelynChew oh yeah I was curious.. why you stay in the hostel??? Why not just rent a room or flat??? Of course home stay not included.. but you really good to manage your expens.. I always get tempting with sweet food..
@@angelicaaustin7554 I enjoy the activities organize by our hall and also the companies of my hall friends! We are all from different courses but always meet for dinner together! Furthermore, it’s really convenient staying in school!

Are the food cheaper in uni? I went to Western Australia few years back and the food portions are huge tho! I share a meal with my family everyday 😂
@@AngelynChew Ohh really, I would like to visit Western Australia one day. My uni is in the city so there are many food places around. The main food court has only 5? shops and a cafe. It isn't cheaper at uni so I normally go outside to eat, cheaper and better.

I can eat the same lunch everyday $4.5 if bring my own container. $5 is my daily lunch expenses, and $5 - $6 for dinner. Weekend abit flexible as I'm a married man. LoL. $100 for a week included extra expenses.
Do you usually eat out for both lunch and dinner? Weekend is a huge variable when I meet friends too!! 😁
@@AngelynChew Before pandemic, I eat out for lunch and takeaway for dinner. Weekend a bit tricky as my wife wants something special and not boring :D
Nowadays I just order lunch and tiffin meal for dinner.
