I saw the same or very similar model on a trailer rig April 9 heading east on Highway 487 in Texas, just north of Rockdale. It was short some of the wheels but otherwise, nice and clean like this one, with two pickups along for the trip.

I've got almost identical yellow Tonka Volvo dump truck. I use it in sandbox and hauling loads of sand and rocks. Real men play with these.

Using the correct equipment for the job is the way to go. Makes the delivery go a lot smoother. Oversize vehicles in front and rear of the load is top notch. These guys definitely know what they're doing.

imo the carrier system for these huge trucks is just as interesting
bizarre rather than interesting construction.... In Europe you just have a "regular" trailer where the rear axels steer.
Easiest way to line up and center truck on transport?Find center of transport. Get long stick,place on ground visible from cab of truck and to driver. Line up center of truck with stick. As long as driver keeps truck lined up with stick. Should have no problem loading .
Very impressive - pro loading job for sure. What does that mining truck weigh? and/or the gross for the total vehicle loaded?
e020443 weight would be about 70 tonnes empty and 170 tonnes loaded.
Just out of curiosity where do all these machines go? Is there a like a staging area just out of town but they go to.

Seems like the trailer was a bit overkill, but us Aussies do more with less i guess and we'd still have 8 axles plus dolly just not half a click long

Pedro Suarez I only came a week before the show and it had already arrived. It’s easier to get footage after the show as I know when each machine will move, whereas before the show I’ve no idea when something will arrive.

How long does it take to set up and break down conexpo?
A week after the show and most of the stuff is gone. They start setting up roughly a month and a half before.
Now drive under the 11foot8 bridge!
In New Jersey we would drive it down the road no trailer .
I thought he was still trying to start the thing when he moved off, or is it started like 'mainline' diesels - just a build up of revs and your good to go. I certainly didn't notice the slightest 'puff' of exhaust smoke, I know they are all "done up" to more than showroom condition but not even a drop of blue even.
It's a brand new machine in 2020, if it would get smoky just from moving unloaded on a flat surface I'd think something was wrong.

I watched a documentary where they used these in sand oil mines. I think mostly in Alaska and Canada. They pretty much move the sand oil on the sites.
What are those white smokes coming from under the rear of the bucket?
That's exhaust. The engine isn't warm yet, so you will get a bit of white smoke.
The exhaust is run out through the bed to warm it to keep from freezing in the winter and it puts the fumes behind the truck.
Moved some Terex with the same layout frontwheels on the outside of the trailer, they touch the road when in sharper turns and started spinning, other traffic kept the distance.

For now it's a rebranded terex but volvo will make it their own. Volvo builds a fine machine.

This is not a Terex design. The smaller rigid trucks are but not the R100E
@@nicholasbrown7068 Volvo haul trucks dont have a bit of rebrand in them. And their loaders are some of the best in the world. Sure volvo has alot of machines that are a rebranded machine but given time volvo will make that rebranded machine their own.

How hard would it be to install a camera on the rear of the truck for backing up, so you don’t have to follow a spotter misguiding you?
DAVID ESPARZA that’s not the reason for the spotter, it’s to line where needed to be to be blocked and picked up properly.
R100E does have a 360 degrees view camera and that includes the rearview camera, but you know to align those big tires with the trailer you will need a spotter

That was the worst loading of a mining truck I ever seen. Did they ever bother messuer how wide the truck was to start with? The truck should at least stand on all wheels on the trailer, front and back. One can easely widen the trailer so it does, with steel clamps and wood planks strapt to the clamps. If a police seen that in Europe they had immediately started to question the stability of your load and you would end up with a hefty fine.

Where the hell was the rear pilot car when you turned onto that Main Street. He should have pulled out into the road and stopped traffic to allow you to pull out safely. Pilot car drivers aren’t what they used to be. Now they just sit on there ass in the vehicle. What do they think that stop sign they carry is for. Oh well you get what you pay for.
There really should be separate blocking vehicles.
