    Crocheted Heart/Amigurumi Heart
    7:58 Correct: CHAIN of 1
    22:39 Correct: 7SC in the next 7ST
    The crocheted heart can be used for a key chain accessory, a pin/brooch or hair accessories.
    It is easy to make even for a beginner. It could take from 30 to 60 minutes to make this heart.
    Materials needed:
    - Cotton yarn (I used 100% cotton, Alize Bella)
    - crochet hook
    - scissors
    - yarn marker
    - some stuffing
    Description:
    Slip knot
    Make a chain of 14
    Round 1:
    - Chain of 1 (we will not include this chain in the final count);
    - 2 SC in 1 a second ST from the hook (Increase);
    - 5SC in the next 5 ST;
    - Skip 2ST;
    - 5SC;
    - 3SC in 1 a last ST (Increase);
    At this point, you should have 15 Stitches made + a Chain of 1
    - 6SC in the next 6 ST (making 5SC in 5 half-stitches and 1 SC in a hole (space) that was created when we skipped 2 Chains (stitches) in the first half of round #1);
    - Chain of 2;
    - 6SC in the next 6 half-stitches (1 SC has to be made in a hole (space) that was created when we skipped 2 Chains (stitches) in the first half of round #1);
    - 1SC in the first stitch of round #1 (we started with this stitch and already made 2SC in it);
    - Slip Stitch (we a making it in the first SC that was made in round #1.
    ***Please make sure not to make a slip stitch in a Chain of 1
    Round #1 is done and overall you should count 30 Stitches around (slip stitch is not counted as a stitch)
    Round 2:
    - Chain of 1 (!!!!! There is a mistake in the written description on the screen. You should make a Chain of 1). *** This chain of 1 is not included in the final count.
    - 1 SC in the first stitch of the round (This is the same stitch in which we made a slip stitch); Use a marker for this stitch. We will connect round #2 with a slip stitch in this stitch;
    - 2SC in 1ST (Increase);
    - 4SC in the next 4ST;
    - 1SC from 3 Half of SC (Decrease);
    - 4SC in the next 4ST;
    - 2SC in 1 ST (Increase);
    - 1SC in the next 1ST;
    - 2SC in 1ST (increase);
    - 7SC (making 5SC in 5 Stitches + in a chain of 1 + 1 SC in a hole (space) that was created when we made 2 Chains (stitches) in round #1);
    - Chain of 2;
    - 7SC (The first SC has to be made in a hole (space) that was created when we crochet 2 Chains in the first round + 1 SC in a chain of 1 + 5SC in the next 5 Stitches); **Please note that this way of crocheting makes increases invisible and does not create unnecessary spacing between stitches***
    - 2 SC in 1ST (Increase);
    - Remove the marker from the first stitch of round #2 and make a Slip Stitch to join round #2 ***Please make sure not to make a slip stitch in a Chain of 1
    Round #2 is done and overall you should count 35 Stitches around (slip stitch is not counted as a stitch)
    Round 3:
    - Chain of 1; This chain of 1 is not included in the final count;
    - 1SC in a first stitch (the same stitch that we made joing/slip stitch); - Use a marker for the first stitch;
    - 3SC in 1ST (increase);
    - 4SC in the next 4ST;
    - 1SC from 3 Half of SC (Decrease);
    - 4SC in the next 4ST;
    - 3SC in 1ST (increase);
    - 1SC in the next 1 ST;
    - 3SC in 1ST (increase);
    - 9SC (8SC in the next 8ST + 1SC in a hole from chain of 2);
    - Chain of 2;
    - 9SC (1SC in a hole from chain of 2 + 8SC in the next 8ST);
    - 3SC in 1ST (Increase);
    - Remove the marker and make a Slip Stitch to join the row
    Round 4:
    - Chain of 1;
    - 1SC in a first stitch (the same stitch that we made joing/slip stitch); Use a marker for the first stitch;
    - 2SC in 1ST (increase) * 2 Rep.;
    - 4SC in the next 4SC;
    - 1SC from 3 Half of SC (Decrease);
    - 4SC in the next 4ST;
    - 2SC in 1ST (increase) * 2 Rep.;
    - 1SC;
    - 2SC in 1ST (increase) * 2 Rep.;
    - 11SC (10SC in the next 10 SC + 1SC in a hole from chain of 2);
    - Chain of 2;
    - 11SC (1SC in a hole from chain of 2+10SC in the next 10ST);
    - 2SC in 1ST (increase) * 2 Rep;
    - Remove the marker and make a Slip Stitch to join the row
    Round 5:
    - Chain of 1;
    - 1SC in 1ST; Use a marker for the first stitch;
    - 7SC in the next 7ST; (***!!!!!There is a mistake in the video subtitles!!!!! Please make 7SC);
    - 1SC from 3 Half of SC (Decrease);
    - 24SC in the next 24ST (counting 1 chain as a separate stitch and making last SC in the chain);
    - 3SC in a hole from Chain of 2 (increase);
    - 15SC in the next 15SC;
    - Remove the marker and make a Slip Stitch to join the row
    Cut the yarn
    Make another heart
    Join hearts with a Reverse Single Crochet pattern in every stitch around the borders of hearts.
    Leave a small hole to fill the heart with stuffing and finish Reverse Single Crochet row
    Pull the yarn and cut it. Hide the end of the yarn inside.

    Love the heart! Question. Can we adjust the size of chain for a smaller/larger size? If yes, do we chain a specific multiple or will any number of chains work? I’m assuming that will change the whole pattern?

    • @iuliiacraft
      @iuliiacraft  2 года назад +5

      Thank you ❤️
      If you’d like to make a slightly bigger/smaller heart you can add/substrate an even number of chains to/from the base chain (14 chains). In that way, I’d recommend to crochet those extra loops in SCs. The number of SCs will increase in every round on each side of the heart based on how many chains you’ve added.
      However if you’d like to make much bigger heart (like a small decor cushion for example) I’d suggest to look for a particular pattern. More adjustments will be needed.

    for round #3 :16:33the 9th stitch in the middle is chain 2. so when you say again will make a chain of two... are you also adding a second chain of two in the next stitch after the middle 9th stitch?? I'm confused there.

    • @iuliiacraft
      @iuliiacraft  7 месяцев назад

      Hi!
      No, you do not have to make chain of 2 twice.
      I meant that it is needed to make 9SC overall, 8 of which are made in 8 stitches and the SC#9 is made in a chain of two from previous round.
      For the whole round #3 please follow these instructions:
      Round 3:
      - Chain of 1; This chain of 1 is not included in the final count;
      - 1SC in a first stitch (the same stitch that we made joing/slip stitch); - Use a marker for the first stitch;
      - 3SC in 1ST (increase);
      - 4SC in the next 4ST;
      - 1SC from 3 Half of SC (Decrease);
      - 4SC in the next 4ST;
      - 3SC in 1ST (increase);
      - 1SC in the next 1 ST;
      - 3SC in 1ST (increase);
      - 9SC (8SC in the next 8ST + 1SC in a hole from chain of 2);
      - Chain of 2;
      - 9SC (1SC in a hole from chain of 2 + 8SC in the next 8ST);
      - 3SC in 1ST (Increase);
      - Remove the marker and make a Slip Stitch to join the row

    I love the design, it's pretty.
    Please is it possible to make a bigger size?

    • @iuliiacraft
      @iuliiacraft  Год назад +1

      Thank you ))
      Of course you can make a bigger size of this heart. It just depends how much bigger you'd like to make it. If you want just a slightly bigger heart you can choose thicker yarn and bigger hook but stick to the original pattern. Or you can add even number of chains to the base and crochet those stitches without increases. But if you'd like, for example twice as big heart, I'd suggest adding one more increase to each section with increases.
