I still remember it clearly - I lay in bed and thought: when will a song finally be played that really touches my heart? simple, pure, honest. and then came Salvador. I'll never forget it. the best song ever sung at esc. greetings from Germany.

Yes, his voice was perfect for the words. I'm sure so many people thought of someone who has died, like a grandmother or father, and thought this must be how the other one felt before the death and after.
He so much did not want the crowd to go overboard and cheer too much, but can you blame them? Never.

Attero Dominatus He won the juri votes. He won the televotes. He is number one on iTunes in dozens of European countries and top 3 in several other countries. There are also dozens or hundreds of covers of his song here on RUclips (you can check it for your own). It is understandable that he cant please everyone, first and foremost because there were other good songs in the competition or simply because musical taste is not an objective item. He won fairly, and people should give him credit for it. Some people love him, others not that much. That is life! Cheers.
