tell barny to get an ultrasonic inspection scanner, and scan the other pivot prototypes, best to get a lil head start before a major factory recall.
They're prototypes, and the epoxy failed by the looks of it
@@TheDarkhorse82 i know they are prototypes mate. it could be the epoxy, or a hairline stress fracture from hardline, either way, best to get them scanned as a precaution.

I'd say watch the Hardline preview and all the videos BK has done since the last WC as well. I reckon there's a good chance any frame would have issues with that sort of sustained abuse!
The metal headtube section pulled out of the top and down tube. From the pictures floating around, the tubes did not fail but rather how they bond the carbon tubes to the metal headtube section

I understand that Pivot want silence over this crash until they can investigate the bike but can we at least get a word on if Bernard is all ok? If they leave it much longer I can see the speculation becoming bad PR for the team.

Pivots design where the top tube and down tube are inline to enter the headset lug is flawed. It makes it a lot easier to construct but also a lot easier to destruct. This is common sense, I guess they believed it didn't need to be any stronger...
It was so good to see Bernard Kerr eat sh*t this week. He wasn't going to run a good time either and when his bike broke in half, WOW! Back to the drawing board for Pivot and hopefully this puts a stop to these carbon fibre sh*t builds coming from bike manufacturers.
