I’d been practicing a lot lately and found standing more upright and gripping the gun similar to you was most comfortable. Went to an instructor & paid for some extra training and was told that was incorrect. Had me hunch my shoulders up past my ears, head super far forward, gun drawn then punched up out like a 2 step movement while finally locking my elbows out completely. I had to leave that stance with that lesson, what works for some doesn’t work for all. Thanks for the FREE lesson and drills.

Question, how important is speed relative to accuracy? I’m still only like a year and a half into the competition game and I find myself gravitating towards accuracy, and when I focus on speed, my accuracy suffers drastically.
Do you have any recs for targets/target stands? Working on a private outdoor range and trying to prioritize what to get first. Btw, I ordered my second belt, best damn belt in the game!

Ill prolly be laughed at for saying this BUT, if ur ammo restricted like most people you wouldnt believe how much u can improve ur shooting very drastically with just a blowback air pistol especially the sig ones they actually recoil a lil bit and its not drastically different from a full size 9mm pistol especially a 2011 i went from not being able to hit targets past 7yds even shooting very slowly to the point of winning idpa competitions in the matter of a few months jus by doing hundreds of rds a day with sig air pistols great thing is theyre under warranty for a yr so u wear one out theyll send u a new one theyre worth so much more than the ~$100 u gotta pay for one so if ur poor like me itd be smarter to invest in one of those over $100 worth of ammo bc u xan get way more practice and practice is what matters most imo

There’s so much good content online. I’d check out Mason Lane, Joel Parks, & Ben Stoegers class lessons on RUclips. They’re free.
