The SEC just doesn't have the money to compete moving forward. In a way it's sad to see, but it's also nice to see someone else take control of college football.
SEC can't keep up? I wonder how the SEC has 8 of the top 13 recruiting classes on on3 right now while the Big 10 only has 3 of the top 13. Oh and the SEC has 5 of the top 6 classes right now too.
Hard to turn down 10 million dollars to stay home and be able to start right away . All the other QBs on Michigan’s roster probably couldn’t start at the FCS level lol.

We need to go out and get a quality QB coach. This kid is a high-powered weapon. You dont want to give him to an average infantry man, he needs to be in the hands of a sharpshooter...
I wonder how much trouble he will cause within the team. UM now has a monster of their own making. Every 5 star will now expect 10.5 million. Did this help or hurt their recruiting?
As a Michigan fan, I still am not a believer in Sherone Moore, but they need to keep him because of Bryce Underwood. Now use that NIL money 💰 on Offensive Lineman to PROTECT HIM. Receivers and Tight Ends will come. Go get some solid Runnbacks. Mainly powerbacks. They do not need to be elite if running behind an Elite Line. Black Corum was not Elite and had an amazing career. The receivers do not have to be Elite either because an ELITE LINE will open up the running game. Michigan did not have Elite receivers and still won the Natty.
Thank you, Josh, for being a part of the moment to delete the "G" word from the vocabulary of sports commentators discussing QBs entering the next level of their careers (high school -> college; college -> NFL.) It's fine to say "I think this kid could be really good" but how about more people let these kids play a down in the big league before we say what their careers will be before we crown them as the best to come along in years?

When you get a young man to come to your school, a school he did not want to go to and did not visit recently, because of money alone may not be a good thing. I had a job where I made 6 figures but hated it. The job I had b4 I was making around 60k but was fun, interesting, and kept me always looking forward to going to work. I never gave 100% to the higher paying job because of not wanting to be there but only staying because of the money and my job suffered. I hope this young man does not end up this way and that this choice does not affect his chance to make multiple hundreds of millions of dollars in the future. Good luck, Bryce, and stay healthy, at least. God Bless
Yeah I’m sure he’s going to be unhappy with $10 million in the bank, playing the sport he loves, in the state he was born in, playing for the team he grew up rooting for. SMFH
I hope so my friend. College football is changing ao much some doe the good and some not. At least it is getting more competitive across the board. The playoffs will be interesting this year. God bless
When the number one recruit is playing 15 miles from your school you had better land him or your program is stained for years to come. Michigan pulled out all the stops to get him because they had no other choice if they wanted to stay relevant.
He did not mention the $12 million NIL money Michigan put up. Kinda important reason for the flip. LSU was competitive at $6 million. The numbers are crazy. Something has to be done or college football as we know it will be ruined.
Yes. We definitely need to go back to slave labor and college athletes not being able to afford food while rich white billionaires make even more money!
This is only the beginning, it’s a small wave. Universities who have real money, who never participated before in pay for play, are going to change the landscape. The SEC, other than Texas/A&M, can’t compete with real donors/endowment $ base. Wait until Indiana and Penn State finally say, F it, we are in. Then the shift will be a tsunami. If Harvard ever decides to want a NFL 2.0 program, they can buy a team that no one in America can outspend, including the NFL.
You are spot on. The SEC had a massive advantage before NIL because they were paying players when other conferences were playing by the rules, mostly. The B1G simply has more money than the SEC. Your point about Harvard is valid. I don't see it, but it could happen. Teams like Harvard and Princeton were once at the top of college football and they throttled down in the 1950s and 1960s because they saw this coming. History is important.
@@Jleed989 Iowa State might not be the best example. They haven't won a conference title since 1912. They also are well below .500 all time. So the real question would be when did Iowa State ever try to compete? It's been 112 years since they've really tried, so why would they start now? I'm not saying it to be rude, but this influx of money to win games has little to do with programs like that.
Indiana isn't winning anything or buying anything PSu might get lucky with a few dollars and their name. Indiana is and will stay a basketball School. Your Football coaching will be gone soon enough

@@owenpetersen6289Their offense is cheeks. Their defense, at least part of it, is one of the better defenses. They just cant always score.
Josh = SEC shill
@@1982mdunc na hes just being honest. The SEC is way deeper than any other conference this year. Last year it was the PAC 12, this year its the SEC. I guess we'll see which conference is really superior in the tournament though.
Big 10 gonna be looking more competitive than ever
I’ll be jumping off of Tiger stadium this Saturday 😢 (is it baseball season yet?)
@3:11 not true but continue
Worst day of my life as an LSU fan. He was supposed to be our future. I knew it was too good to be true
I wonder if this will have a ripple effect for LSU. DJ Pickett next?
What happens to Jayden Davis?
What a watershed moment in college football. NIL has really changed the game for the B1G with all of it's old money.
4 of the top 5 QB recruits are headed to the B1G. This is significant. The SEC just doesn't have the money to compete moving forward.
In a way it's sad to see, but it's also nice to see someone else take control of college football.
OSu has been paying for players since the early 2000s and that is a fact.
How does Maryland and Minnesota keep up?
@Jleed989 if Indiana is gathering NIL, so can those schools to be portal merchants
Texas doesn't have the money? 😂Yeah right
SEC can't keep up? I wonder how the SEC has 8 of the top 13 recruiting classes on on3 right now while the Big 10 only has 3 of the top 13. Oh and the SEC has 5 of the top 6 classes right now too.
What about Jadyn Davis?
Julian JuJu Lewis broke the news on The Pat McAfee show.
Brian Kelly is not the type of person that I would like to play for… good choice kid.
Love that the other side of the coin on this is Brian Kelly losing Underwood at the worst possible time for him. Couldn’t happen to a better guy.
The B1G is turning the heat up in recruiting
GO BLUE!!💪🏼💙💛
I really thought um would go back to being average without an nfl coach but we'll see how they play out
Hard to turn down 10 million dollars to stay home and be able to start right away . All the other QBs on Michigan’s roster probably couldn’t start at the FCS level lol.
CFB lost it's spirit with out of control NIL and number of transfers. NIL is fine but they need regulations to make it fair for all the power 4 schools. The same for the number of transfers a player can make. It's the wild wild west...
It lost its spirit when the Media and the universities were making billions with the "free" talent bullsheet.
The spirit was unpaid labor?
@@briancoburn595710 million dollars to play college football is ridiculous. That’s more than being a 3rd round pick in the NFL draft. We’re all for these guys getting paid. However, once we start getting into 5-10 million dollars, that’s when it’s too much.
Cope
Bro hates people capitalizing of their own name, image, and likeness and it's crazyyy 😂😂😂😂
LSU is done. A lot of these SEC schools are going to figure out the hard way that NIL won’t go in their favor.
Underwood v St. Clair rivalry gonna be fun to watch 🔥
Osu still has a 5 star qb on the bench so idk if he will start instantly
So exciting! Michigan just got the next Joe Milton!
I think he's been flipped for a while now, but chose when to make it official. That amount of money to stay at your home school is hard to go against
If I'm kelley, im using the NIL money and going after the top 5 start OL and DL and making the trenches great again. That has allways been LSU weakness.
This is one those small schools that yall wanted to benefit from this right?
definitely needs a new OC and QB coach at UofM next season
that just ensured that Brian Kelly is done.
NIL has evened the playing field they said
Built not Bought they said
Michigan and lsu have always been on the same blue blood level.
@@trails4allthis isn’t about those two. those two have plenty of money.
i’m talking about the general population that says “oh yeah transfer portal NIL” as a reason to big time programs losing. that has nothing to do with it. it’s strictly coaching. coaching. and coaching.
Georgia has one of the toughest schedules, and drops two games and people say it’s because of NIL evening the playing field. and the two teams they lost two have money too! it’s just delusional at this point.
@@trails4alllmao no they haven’t, LSU may have more success over the last two decades but LSU isn’t a blue blood at all
@@GoatedAtNFSThat doesn’t really counter the fact that NIL and the Transfer Portal is leveling out CFB especially in the SEC. UGA has great coaching and lost to Ole Miss and bama because those two teams have great athletes. Hell look at vandy the transfer portal made them a legit football team lol
A real shame we’ll miss the Lagway vs Underwood battles in the SEC next season and beyond
Not if they make the playoffs- maybe
@@mfrshm1998hahahhahahaha neither of them are making the playoffs any time soon
@kyleskeins8553 Yeah, you're not the source of information I choose to listen to. None of you experts had Michigan beating Alabama last year either.
Brian Kelly is as good as done ✅
Connor Stalions must have been stealing signs on this one
Brian Kelly in a Norvell-like hot seat right now. Both have a $60 million plus buy out. Get your popcorn ready ppl 😂
There will be a few more clips coming especially if they lose to Vandy which seems very possible.
We need to go out and get a quality QB coach. This kid is a high-powered weapon. You dont want to give him to an average infantry man, he needs to be in the hands of a sharpshooter...
Get ready big 10....HELL IS COMING, and everyone else in the college football world!! HAIL TO THE VICTOR AND THE CHAMPIONS 🏆 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥💯💯💯💯💯💯💪💪💪💪
I wonder how much trouble he will cause within the team. UM now has a monster of their own making. Every 5 star will now expect 10.5 million. Did this help or hurt their recruiting?
Best part about it is that Connor Stallions played a big role in making this happen. Brohio has got to be pissed
@@Jleed989Connor Stalions became the offensive coordinator at Belleville and played a role in flipping him, even if it was a minor one.
Ohio sucks because of their head coach(s). They will never win anything with Day. Take it to the bank
Was that a 5 M $ Filp ?
LSU and BK should be thankful he didnt flip right before / on signing day..they atleast have some time to replace him before early signing day
As a Michigan fan, I still am not a believer in Sherone Moore, but they need to keep him because of Bryce Underwood.
Anyone else wondering what's going to happen to Jadyn Davis?
Smart kid. He chose Ann Arbor over Death Valley; to follow in the footsteps of the GOAT instead of the flash in the pan Heisman winners. Go Blue. 2025 National Champions.
So, you're saying BK yelling at those players on the sidelines was NOT a good thing for recruitment of BU?
Now that Bryce Underwood is also going to UM, do you think that WR Derek Meadows will also touch down @AnnArbor? Always,GOBLUE-NATTYUP🏆!
God bless
He doesn't want to play against sec teams when he can eat cupcakes in the big 10.
No reason he won't flip again when things go sour at UM. These players are mercenaries now with no contractual obligation to stay.
Good pick up for Michigan but don't mean they gonna be something in title town , 🏄 Speed demon blitz, dragon slayer sweep and fold "
When the number one recruit is playing 15 miles from your school you had better land him or your program is stained for years to come. Michigan pulled out all the stops to get him because they had no other choice if they wanted to stay relevant.
As a Florida fan, you’re welcome Michigan 🤣
He did not mention the $12 million NIL money Michigan put up. Kinda important reason for the flip. LSU was competitive at $6 million. The numbers are crazy. Something has to be done or college football as we know it will be ruined.
Yeah we need to go back to when just the SEC and OSU were paying players u see the table. GTFOH.
Yes. We definitely need to go back to slave labor and college athletes not being able to afford food while rich white billionaires make even more money!
Go blue. Happy for Sherone. He was getting screwed out of an oppurtunity with his quarterbacks
Dang Michigan so Jadyn Davis isn't going to start next year....
But about schools like Iowa state and Boise State? They can never hope to compete. The rich keep getting richer
@@KeepChoppin OSu has been laying players just as long as BAma that's a fact
Indiana isn't winning anything or buying anything PSu might get lucky with a few dollars and their name. Indiana is and will stay a basketball School. Your Football coaching will be gone soon enough
This is what Michigan has to do to recruit a kid who is from Michigan???
