Honestly, I'm a lifetime Android user, S24 plus at thr moment. But Samsung and Google pixel is becoming so Apple. No headphone jack. No customization on Pixel phone home screen, the Google search bar on the bottom of the screen that you cannot remove or move it. So annoying. I was thinking why not move to an Apple phone because there is no much difference anymore. Especially now the iphone has USB-C.
And the massive support with apps, accessories, and ecosystem. It’s hard to deny its benefits now that it has many of the factors that set Android apart, and more.
16 Pro Max was a snooze fest so I upgraded from my 14 PM to the Pixel 9 PXL. Had it since September and now that the December feature update released I'm honestly not looking back, maybe if iPhone makes a book styled foldable.
I'm an android phone user. A feature that I use often is transferring files via USB OTG for both read and write functions seamlessly without any tweaks on settings (I know I'm being way old-fashioned here 😅😅😅). If the iPhone is able to do that as any Android phone does, I consider switching to the iPhone since I notice that battery life and videography are reliable on the iPhone.
There are ways to transfer, but it's not like going into the file system. You have to use their apps, which I admit, can be frustrating. So maybe not quite there, but small files are super easy to transfer with AirDrop if you have a Mac
@ThisIsTechToday I see. Unfortunately, I'm a Windows-laptop user. That makes me think that at least up to now using Android-phones is still the better option for me, although based on many tech reviews I admit that especially the video quality of the iPhone is still unreacheable. Who knows I will use both in the future. 🙂🙂🙂
The 16 Pro if you think the camera control button will be of use to you. I do like that it has more RAM as well, so maybe that's a good reason to go with it as well. If you're being budget conscious, then the 15 Pro Max makes some sense.
@ThisIsTechToday Also, please share your view regarding the performance of this two models. Is the A18 Pro chip making a lot of difference from the A17 Pro chip. In simple words, I wanna know in terms of some gaming related activities. 😅🥲
Thank you! It was certainly a challenge and stretch for me. I used the Sennheiser MKE 400! It sounds amazing. The second half of the video got messed up though because the volume switch got bumped so I had to gain up a lot. Whoops!
The only thing that is not flagship like is iPhone 16 because of 60hz. If iPhone 17 will have that, then viola, we now have a proper iPhone that can be recommend to everyone.
An iPhone is still way different than an Android smartphone in daily use, for a deep Android user ( i use both iOS & Android everyday, constantly switching, 2 phones in my pockets 😅). iOS 18 seems like huge changes for O.G iOS users but for me, who have used an iPhone since only 2.5 years, it's nothing special.
@ThisIsTechToday A fingerprint scanner, Navigation gestures, Split View, Android Keyboard, Android Clipboard, Cloned apps or Quickshare🔄 between my Android smartphone and my Windows 💻,make my user experience different. Being able to move icons on front screen or few personalization updates are just change on the surface and sound pretty reductive about what is Android.
I am an iPhone person and have been my whole life. I also have the 16 Pro Max on hand as my daily driver. However, I will say the pixel 9 Pro XL is a phone that I am super excited and interested in. my brother has that phone and it it’s crazy cool how useful it is with all of its AI features that it has. I like the spam call AI feature. It has in the call waiting AI feature. Of the three major phones that are doing AI things right now between Samsung, Google and iPhone. I think Google has it down best in terms of AI features. Don’t get me wrong The phone is not perfect from what I can see on my brother‘s phone and other RUclips reviews but it definitely seems like one of the most exciting ones of the year. I don’t think I’m alone in this category of iPhone users who think this year‘s model is extremely boring and barely change if any at all from the 15 Pro Max. Apple needs to do better as the competition has no doubt caught up in many ways.
Oh yeah. Those are is best features and the unique usages of AI. The rest is fine and I’d argue the camera is an egregious use of AI to the point the whole thing is fake. So not all of the AI is good.
Hi. New subscriber here. I found and loved your video comparing some ANC headphones. While I do not know enough to agree or disagree with you on the 60Hz display on non-pro iPhones, it is quite difficult to justify or excuse it given their prices. High refresh rate displays are marketed by Apple as a 'pro' feature that should only exist on their pro models. It is particularly egregious when you realise that some budget phones and tablets from other manufacturers come with at least 90Hz screens.
I'm not sure what is to agree or disagree with. There simply aren't enough panels in existence that meet the spec for iPhones. If you can't manufacture enough, then you can't put them in phones. It's pretty straightforward. There is no other phone out there in the entire world that sells as many units for a specific model as the iPhone. There are many phones of various models and varieties, but not ONE model. Apple makes or breaks entire industries and companies. They've been working on suppliers to help make that possible and it's apparently coming soon. Other manufactures have those speeds but I can assure you, the panels are not as good as Apple's in quality outside of refresh rate.
@@ThisIsTechToday Apples' No. 1 Android competitor owns the mobile display market. While Apple could kill the other ones around it, Samsung could also decline to manufacture them, sell to others, and make a profit. It's because unlike Apple, Samsung isn't just an electronics company. I mean it's called Samsung Construction & Trading Corporation for a reason. It's tied into fashion, resorts, golf, food, beverage, energy, landscaping, trading, power plants, civil projects, etc. That said I don't like the way Samsung Electronics has gone with its phone lines over the past 4-5 years. Can't rely on Chinese brands to pick up the slack since they'll be difficult to get in the US. Google follows Samsung in way too many ways. Android needs a bit of a revolution tbh.
Samsung isn’t the only supplier for Apple. Samsung is also losing crazy amounts of money and is in serious financial health. If they turned down Apple, it would cripple Samsung. Kind of messes with your argument.
I tested both the 16 pro max and s24 ultra at the store many days ago and I still think the s24 ultra is way more fun to use like my s23 ultra. The s pen w gestures and sound effects , multi tasking, ring tones music w ease, full AI features like sketch to image and Pixel studio in the box ready, open operating system, way better display lightyears ahead corning glass no reflections, good lock, customizable ring tones to songs for free , emulation at a higher level w no limitations, Samsung TV ecosystem etc . I'll wait for the s25 ultra. I think Xiaomi , Vivo, Huawei, Honor, One Plus, Oppo, Google, Red Magic, and Samsung are far ahead in innovation. For me I left Apple years ago because it has too many limitations in comparison. For me I can't live without being able to download anything, edge panel and copy and paste clipboard, stylus support, no foldables etc but some things like imessage and consistent video quality, AI personal voice and iTunes few things here and there are implemented well but android is just more fun for me these days.
My personal opinion is that no matter how Android like iOS becomes or how iOS like Android becomes the weakness of iOS and strength of Android will remain the same. That is that if you want a phone running iOS you're stuck with an iPhone. But if you choose Android as an operating system there's ober a dozen different choices with different priorities. If you want a very camera centric phone Sony's got it. If you want a camera centric phone that doesn't feel so much like it's camera centric the the big 3 Chinese brands got that. If you want a productivity powerhouse Samsung's ultra model is just that. or maybe you want gaming, then you got Asus and Red Magic. If you want AI smarts Google is king and Samsung isn't far behind. If you want performance on a more limited budget there's OnePlus or even more pocket friendly options from Poco and Realme. And that's the thing Android has options for virtually every one. On a side note, the OnePlus/OPPO calculator app offers currency conversion 🤷
enjoy the insights , thanks...apple knows they don't have to do more than 60hz on regular models..people will buy anyway...but yes apple is getting more like android...we are all their beta testers now😂😂.

I suspect that percentage has only grown in nearly 3 years. So Apple would have to negotiate with a direct competitor which it already does.
I use both. Iphone is definitely easier to communicate with friends and family. Cameras trade blows. Samsung sometimes is better. Iphone is consistent if nothing else. And good most times. Using s24 and iphone 13 currently. I wish my s24 had 512gb. But it only is sold 256gb with the regular s24.

The pro model battery (not pro max) is terrible. Go the pro max or the plus.

If the iPhone 16 pro max can side load then you can truly say it’s more like a android
A fraction of a percent of Android users ever sideload. It's a negligible amount to the point it doesn't matter.
