He doubts himself a lot, and that’s what I heard. I completely agree with Katy. If he can tap into his sense of competition instead of the self-doubt, he could develop into a great singer.

I felt really bad for this guy, because I could hear in his voice that he didn’t believe in himself, and he could be really good if he did. If he believed In himself, his nerves would have pushed him to be even better. I would doubt my performance if I wasn’t nervous; nerves give you an edge.
It was like someone else singing in the beginning and slowly he turned into The Fritz we now know and love. He was just nervous and hadn’t got his footing yet!
His guitar playing is A-mazing, his singing however didn't quite match it. However he has an issue with self-confidence it appears, and he's got to get that behind him.
I like his voice and the song he chose was a awesome I believe he's got a nice sounding husky raspy voice and he did it well and Luke is so wrong he is going to go to the top 20 at the least he is going to get better and believe in himself like Hunter Metts
THis audition was not very good , they were right beside the chorus sounded bad. After that with the mics and stage audio , and performances he sounds much better, maybe he improved along the way. good for him

He is a great singer! Just needed that vote of confidence, and now he is in it to win it! And I believe he will. 😊
