Hebrew - First Words - דְּבָרִים רִאשֹׁנִים - Free Biblical Hebrew - Lesson 1

- First lesson! Don't worry, the alphabet will come later, and that's for a good reason! Remember that when you were a child your parents didn't teach you the alphabet first! You learned some words and phrases before you learned the alphabet. Also, we don't include subtitles in our videos because your parents didn't give you subtitles when you learned your language. The best way to learn a language is to experience it like you did as a child. Remember to have fun and enjoy it! Watch this as many times as you need to before going to the next lesson. When you watch it the second time, we recommend repeating the words aloud. If you want to learn more about our method of teaching, and why it's the scientifically-proven most effective method for language acquisition, you can check out: freehebrew.online/why-our-method

Please note that we purposely don't include any phonetic transliteration or translation of the words in these first lessons, so you can learn more naturally, and so that people from all languages can follow no matter what alphabet they use. After a few more lessons, you will learn the Hebrew alphabet and then everything will be written on the screen in Hebrew. If you already know the Hebrew alphabet, you can read along using the lesson scripts which you can find here: freehebrew.online/resources/
Please don't bother to comment asking for a transliteration or translation, because we're not going to do it 😉 You can learn more about why here: freehebrew.online/why-our-method/

I love that there's no other language spoken than the target. Thank you for making this available to all for free.
I agree...as a beginner this method makes it much easier.
Its awesome I'm Romanian and I can translate what she's saying in romanian, same with other people.
This is the best thing about this, you can listen in your own language.
Beth, I am thrilled to discover you!! I am an 80- year-old language lover and teacher, starting a Biblical Hebrew course with my granddaughter at our church. An ardent fan of comprehensible input, I use it in my language teaching. You are an answer to prayer and I praise God for you! Thank you, Sally
That's an amazing church if it's teaching you Hebrew! I've never heard of such a thing. Gives me hope that there are good churches out there (somewhere)
That is so awesome! It just encouraged me! I'm in Japan, and usually after the Japanee retire, or get older, this is when their true lives begin and they start learning and doing everything that they ever wanted to.

Awesome Sir.
It’s surprising to me how fast I remembered the words with this style of learning. I have attempted to learn Biblical Hebrew the traditional way and came away with small portions. I am inspired and excited to learn this language through your free classes. I believe it will have a great impact on my bible study. God bless you and the ministry you have been given and Christ be exalted.
That's great to hear, amen! Happy Hebrew learning! :)
You should check out the voice of healing church! We study Greek and Hebrew and it breaks open the word of god In an amazingly beautiful way
I already got lost in lesson 1 but, with Lord's grace, l still wish to continue 😊 Blessings from Poland 🤗 ❤️🇵🇱🇵🇱❤️
It’s okay I’m lost too , pal 😂❤️ we keep learning

I’m lost too. Did you keep going? Did it get better?
I completed lessons 1 to 70. Now I want to revise such lessons before going ahead. Kindly pray for my success. Specially thanks to bat, avraham and their team, from Pakistan.
How did it go?
Yeah, how did it go? just began.
A beautiful Ish and Isha teaching the most beautiful language! This is how I learned German back in the 1980's, of course not with RUclips or Websites, but with hearing the words first. A big plus is living in the country where the language is spoken. Next year in Israel! Thank you!
Sorry to disappoint you but we don't speak like that in Israel. If you say "Aye?" people will laugh at you. We say "Eifo?". We don't say "Katon" but "Katan". Her accent is funny.
@@user-je5gc1mg4z could be because the titule talk about the biblical version of the lenguaje and not the 2000 years after revival versión that you speak?
Keep on rolling out more lessons. No to distraction
same i learnt english this way too and a little of korean, this way is easier (me thinks) to learn languages
@@user-je5gc1mg4z is the vocabulary wrong in this channel or is it a difference of dialects ?
Wonderful! This is how I learned Spanish And French way back in 1981. My teacher was educated by Jesuits in Mexico City. Later as a 15 year old, her father, the US ambassador was moved to the French consulate. There she learned French and German. Her methods were just like yours. It is how my pea brain is wired. It stimulates memory cortex and the photographic area of my brain as I can see every page in that first Spanish book we used exactly 40 years later!!! That alone merits scientific investigation. She did not speak English in class. She said there was plenty time after class to practice English. You guys are re-teaching my mind and my heart to love Language again. I appreciate your kind methods and doing what works to teach people like me who may never have been inspired were it not for people like you and my wonderful teacher in high school. It is amazing what the human mind can learned if challenged so effectively as you two do. You are both lovely people.
That's awesome! We hope you enjoy Hebrew!
Literal answer to heart-cry prayer. Learning through tears of joy! Tremendous thank you! Massive blessings on you!
I can't describe how useful this channel will be for me who just began studying Hebrew. God bless you both.

Guys, your program here in Brazil is a great success. many people watching it. Can you take a class explaining the differences in how women and men speak Hebrew? I think it's in the pronones, adjectives etc.
I discovered you by accident. I am a beginner in Hebrew but your video helped refresh my memory with other attempts I have made to learn the language.

Love from India💗😊
Cada día me entusiasmo más en aprender con este método tan amigable que nos brinda estos dos hermosos jóvenes
Pero no lo traducen al español, así es menos entendible
Really great illustrations, pronunciations and corrections. Thank you very much for taking the time to bless others with knowledge of the Hebrew language. Along side with google as a dictionary this was really easy to understand.
Zeh refers to masculine and zot to feminine. Tov meod means very good, yaffe means beautiful or maybe as a way of saying nice 👍🏼. Learning big and small was crucial too and the the word ha means “the” which is why it is used before presenting the animal or person.
God bless you two for your hard work in making this happen. Great way of serving the Lord with what you have.
At first I was a little intimidated by the method, but after watching the fist episode, I was able to understand quite a lot of how genders work in Hebrew, comparatives, and a lot more. I'm actually really excited to continue learning! Thank you so much for this!
Thanks for the lessons! I am learning it well from this post. Shalom!
Thank you so much for this. I've been wanting to learn Hebrew, and this truly feels like a way to learn without feeling overwhelmed!!!
Most fantastic intro to new language I've ever seen, can't wait to watch more!!

This is wonderful! I started learning Biblical Hebrew last year with the alphabet and a workbook. I found it helpful more recently to listen to Hebrew music and with lyrics it was even more helpful. I can see after watching one video that this is going to be very helpful. Thank you! I can't wait to show my grandchildren! Benjamin is 7 and Lydia is 4. ❤
My son is 12 and my daughter is 7💪💪
Great! I’m so thankful for this amazing video! I’m trying to learn Hebrew

Maravilhaaaa muito obrigado por esse trabalho maravilhoso.
Вы просто умнички, замечательный урок. Спасибо вам огромное. Люблю иврит, люблю Израиль.
It's very Easy to learn hebrew with you. Thanks 😊
The best Chanel of learning hebrew, congratulations, i'm learning a Lot with fun, i loved this video and all of them.
I can understand everything in the lesson after viewing it once. I reviewed the lesson immediately. I can hear you speaking the word with my eyes closed and I see the objects together with your voice. Now that I am 55 years old,I may have to repeat the lesson 3 or 4 more time for overkill. If you think you have learned something and you don't remember it a day, a week, a month later, you it did not permanently imprint on the memory cortex. Repetition, repetition, repetition and verbal emphasis is my key to learning. I learned this as quickly as I learned Spanish on that first day of class 40 years ago. Thank you so very much
You make it easy to learn.. thank you for teaching us the Lord's language..
¡Muchísimas gracias por la clase y por la excelente metodología! ¡Que HASHEM siempre los bendiga muy ricamente!
Thank's for teaching about Hebrew language, it can help many people for learning, God bless you.

Your positive language and demeanor, and your precise pronunciation, have greatly increased my love to continue studying Hebrew. God bless you and all the Christians in the Holy Land! May God have mercy on us all.
Wonderful pronounciation! So different from most of hebrew lessons which make no difference between ע and א, or between ח and כ. Finally! Thank you!
