It's terrible, the developers are trying to achieve good graphics for the players, and you turn everything to the minimum... However, the choice is still yours. And, probably, when you’ve been playing a game for more than a thousand hours, it may no longer matter what graphics you play on, when the game becomes like work (hello e-sports!).
@@vsemoguchi you get to a point where you have every pixel of the map in your head, the only thing that makes a difference is performance so you can get even a 0.01 second of advantage. It's a sad mentality but in a game as competitive as Counter Strike is, it's expected to happen
For competitive games settings are lowered for visual clarity. There's no reason for motion blur, bloom, god rays, particle effects etc cranked to the max. They cause visual distractions for competitive people. If you watch competitive SC2 from a players POV not the casters POV, the players have everything lowered to the point the game looks super weird just for visual clarity.
It does, you need to put the right brush for it in Hammer. Theres no point having swimmable water in an area you cant play in for optimization. Swimming underwater in CS2 is still wack tho.
i think people miss out that these are visual things, and the game is fairly recent so it doesnt have some of the details that csgo had. they will most likely come soon, but the visual appeal of cs2 is awesome
So csgo was one of my first ever game and i loved it. I have 750 hours in it and have lots of skins plus a karambit but now its unplayable for me because its lagging and i habe low fps. thanks gaben 🤝
Didn't vavle know that most of their player base have a low end device and can't really support all of this fancy shit that they're adding in their new game? It's not just the matter of updating the game to fits with current graphics quality but also to understand what and why the current players would rather playing CSGO than CS2. CSGO was THE game to play on if you have a low-end pc since it can basically run even on an integrated graphics. I wouldn't apposed the existence of CS2 but don't just remove CSGO just because you know that there's gonna be less players in your new game.
I can barely see the playing characters moving around so I am still trying to figure out what type of mental condition motivated whoever worked on the avatars, to work on the eye colour detail. Cause I would actually have a good list of technical details very much relevant to performance issues to suggest developers if they run out of irrelevant details to work on.
So every time I aim with an awp or scout, my fps drops to 20 just to have a shoe that gets wet in water and smoke that gets affected by bullets..... what a trade
Complaining about the underwater effect in an area that’s not even a playable part of the map is silly. The only legitimate issue I saw in this was the fire on the Molotov not showing up, the door not showing bullet holes was also a negative but at the same time, that’s something a lot of other objects still have so it’s not an engine limitation but likely a small oversight that can be fixed. This is very cherry picked because you could easily make countless videos with all of the details added that weren’t in csgo.

btw cs2 has a underwater filter because it is part of the source 2 engine and i found it in a workshop map named dust 2 but underwater and it is a fun map and you can see the underwater filter there. I guess it´s what water they choose because the engine thinks that it is just a texture and that´s it.
Cs2 was made so fast with just few engine updates.. they will add new functions and modyfications from month to month. Users are final testers of software it’s cheaper than pay for professional game testers.
