This is a great video & love how everything came out. You are so right about the price of games now. My stepson who recently moved in with us was very behind on his reading/English skills so wanted to play scrabble to make it more fun for him learning and my scrabble was missing a bunch of pieces and was like I’ll just buy a new one cuz they used to be like $10 and the prices were insane. I had no clue how expensive all the games got. A game that we like to play that you don’t even need anything is the story game where one person starts off with a word then the next person says a word and you keep going around creating the story. I also have dice that have pictures on it that you roll that you have to use your create the story where you just give like one sentence and the next person picks up from there and goes around to make a story. It can be so funny especially when you have adults and kids playing cuz the stories can get crazy.

Cranium is really fun! It also needs play dough. As much as we love games, I have found that some older games have so many pop culture references that my teens have no clue about! We played Taboo over Memorial Day, and omg, my poor kids were pretty clueless with some of the cards! But we love Taboo!
Haha yes! I agree! There are a lot of games that have references that hit a certain age group for sure! We often skip over cards that just don’t work and move on to another one ☺️
*** My family LOVES games. To reduce space, we take them out of the boxes and drop them into 2 gallon bags for ease on storage and keep them tucked into square baskets that slide in and out, hiding the mess. 😅 We have OVER a hundred games and this really reduces the space that they would normally take up!! Also, we use games for homeschooling reasons... dealing with money, trouble solving, kindness and other manners as well as teaching kids how to be excited for the winner instead of a sore loser. 😅 Anyways, 2 gallon bags are my friend! Square baskets are also my friend for making things less cluttered. ( we've also used the bags for play food & dishes, grouping toy sets, certain crafts are grouped in bags and placed into bins, etc!! ❤ I love what you are doing. I'll SUBSCRIBE NOW!! ❤❤❤

Some of my children are going through tough times in life. This is the perfect scripture to pray over our family. God has been good through this. I’ve been so tempted to use curtains! However, this space is very very dark due to the front screened in porch and trees around the house.. so to bring in as much natural light as possible I’ve left the windows without curtains! Plus we don’t have neighbors close enough to peep in 😉

Hi Adelaine, this is my first time watching your channel. Curiosity made me watch it, and I am glad I did. I enjoyed your content, especially when you mentioned God. You mentioned your parents not being in the pictures. I have 2 suggestions. 1 next time you visit them, you can take various pictures of them so you have enough to pick and choose from what you have taken of them. If they send you pictures of them via text, social media or actual pictures, you can have them enlarged and wallah you have their picture. 2. I'm sure you have photo albums of them, you can also have them enlarged and used them. 3. You can pull pictures from you and your family when you were growing up or have those albums somewhere easily accessible for your children to see and you telling the story behind it. That in of itself is a family time where you can spend hours telling stories of your childhood and your entire family as well as your husband's family with him. You can have a slide show for movie night if you have one where instead of movies you can call it story time and show them pictures of your, your husband's growing up as well as each family. It will not only entertain, but it will inspire, and strengthen the family nucleus. I wish every family did that. Even if their past wasn't something good, we can always learn from their and others mistakes.

@@adalineshome make sure you got timeline and not timeline twist, I mean both are great but I love the original, it’s great for a 15 dollar game! It will be lovely for homeschooling ticket to ride is also good, they have a JR version. Sleeping Queens, sushi go too! We played all the games with our kids and friends we now have a ridiculous collection. 😂 if you ever see Hiliariumn when you’re thrifting because it’s out of print now get it!
