    Tchaikovsky was a classical music composer. In the Chuck Berry song "Roll Over Beethoven" Chuck sings 'roll over Beethoven and tell Tchaikovsky the news". Bon Scott is referencing this when he says "tchaikovsky had the news"

    Tchaikovsky was a Russian classical composer. From a Chuck Berry song, also about the advent of rock 'n' roll, "Roll over Beethoven and tell Tchaikovsky the news". This song is best watching the official video, you've got to see the mischievous glint in Bon Scott's eyes. That opening line is "the white man had the schmaltz, the black man had the blues". Next, "It's a Long Way to the Top if You Want to Rock and Roll" official video.

    Bon Scott died in Feb 1980, Brian Joined April 1 1980, Back in Black came out July 1980. Bon had already started writing stuff for Back in Black before he died. Crazy stuff!

    • @nicolepisa26
      @nicolepisa26 3 года назад

      @MTR Sorry, I don’t spew fake news. Everything I said was true. Maybe you can’t prove Bon was writing material specifically for that album, but he had unfinished lyrics/material when he died. The rest can literally all be proved so don’t know what you’re talking about 😂

    • @nicolepisa26
      @nicolepisa26 3 года назад

      @MTR “Bon Scott had several lyrical ideas for the album.” Meaning he had lyric ideas for their next album. At the time he didn’t know it would be called Back In Black and that he’d be dead, and that his material wouldn’t be used, but he was still writing material for their next album. Make sense???

    • @nicolepisa26
      @nicolepisa26 3 года назад

      @MTR”Ian Jeffrey claims to still have a folder that contains lyrics of 15 songs written for Back In Black by Bon, but Angus insists that all of Bon's notebooks were given to his family.”
      Again, regardless of who in that statement is correct (most likely Angus), he had material written for that album which at the time didn’t have a name.

    • @nicolepisa26
      @nicolepisa26 3 года назад

      @MTR Might not be able to confirm this, but this is also the top comment on that post you sent 😂 Anything else?
      “Callum Macleod from Canada
      Bon wrote bib, all of it
      If you know bons lyrics from all 7 albums, you know it's his lyrics, shufeld around sure, but there his. There there right through. To flick switch. I hear bon big time on thunderstruck as well.”

    • @nicolepisa26
      @nicolepisa26 3 года назад

      @MTR Wait I do have more! Another comment, but i’ve definitely read/heard that interview with Angus.
      “John from Maryborough, Australia:
      I have a 1998 rolling stone magazine with an interview with angus young, on page 90 . question to angus from rolling stone magazine- " have you ever thought about quitting ?" Angus replies "the only time was when bon scott died. We were in doubt about what to do but we had songs that he had written and we wanted to finish the songs. We thought it would be our tribute to bon and that album became Back in Black"

  • @toddjames7

    The Tchaikovsky line is a reference to a 1956 Chuck Berry song "Roll Over Beethoven (tell Tchaikovsky the news)".
    FUN FACT: Mozart (Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, 1756-1791) is known as the original "Rockstar". All the ladies wanted him and the guys either wanted to be him or kill him!! His music was considered rebellious and filthy(and it was)!!!
    CHECK OUT: The 1985 song "ROCK ME AMADEOUS" by Falco.... Think you'll get a kick out of it, plus it's a good song. The lyrics will give you an Idea of what a "Rockstar" he was.... Keep 'em coming!!

    Brian Johnson is still the lead singer, 1980 to present. Bon was 1974 -1980. The list ur seeing on wiki is former members for drums, guitar who also did back-up vocals. In 2016, Brian had some serious hearing issues. Axl Rose (Guns N' Roses lead singer) offered to fill in and did 7 shows with AC/DC on their "Rock Or Bust" Tour.... Starting from the 1st album is a good idea. You'll get to see the bands progression and then see the seamless transition of Brian as lead. Great reaction....

  • @letstalk3265

    Why the Australian music scene produced a whole heap of exceptional bands was their bread and butter/survival was based on the pub rock scene. Aussie youth, guys and gals, getting on the piss and raging out to live music. In those days kids as young as 12 were getting into the venues despite the drinking age being 18. If you didn't pass the pub test the crowd could be merciless and many a band have stories of being chased out of the area. On the other side, if you played to rage then the crowd would love it and loyalty was thick. Win the crowd you're on your way because they would turn up time and again to rage. ACDC worked hard played hard and never disappointed. That's why they went on to conquer the world. Other bands that followed them, especially through being label mates at Alberts Records, were The Easybeats, The Angels, Rose Tattoo, Stevie Wright. Then you had Radio Birdman, The Saints, Midnight Oil to name other great bands. Great times.

    Hello there! I love what you’re doing here. There are a lot of reaction channels that I try to watch but not as many capture me as yours does. Your Sincerity matched with your vulgarity makes all of this very fun.I have so many song suggestions I don’t know where to start. One thing I would love to see is if you were to bring on somebody who isn’t as well-versed with your taste in music and gave them the kind of explanation and rundown of some of your favorite songs that you would like from a person.
    I also loved how you listened to the original black Betty after listening to the cover. I think that should be done more often and it’s completely underutilized. Since you did a Ram Jam Leadbelly cover you should maybe consider when Nirvana covered “where did you sleep last night“ live on MTV unplugged. That’s another Leadbelly song that was resurrected by a modern band And boy oh boy does that song have a dark history and meaning.

    That's the great thing about music Biz, you never know how its going to connect with you. You might like it, you might not. It could amplify the mood your already in. It could fire you up in a physical way. It can turn your happy mood into reflection of your past or people of your past. Music is interesting in that way, as it can have a profound effect on a person.

    Start at the beginning with 1976 High Voltage albums first song "It's a long way to the top (if you wanna rock 'n' roll)" Bon Scott & Brin Johnson are the two recording vocalists. The other singers mentioned on Wiki were before they had a record deal. I guarantee you will love every song on High Voltage \m/

      Original lead singer, Dave Evans was only with them from '73-'74. Left and joined the band Rabbit in '74. Malcolm and Angus were introduced to Bon Scott VERY shortly after. Bon Scott ERA: 1974-1980 Brian Johnson ERA: 1980 to Present... Other than those 3, there haven't been any other lead singers. Really though.... ANGUS is the real star of AC/DC! ;) I agree with starting at the beginning.... He'll see the progression of the band and the seamless transition of Brian becoming the lead singer. That'd be a cool journey!

    Only two real leads here- Bon and Brian. I believe there was a bus driver named Evans they plugged in for a short period before Bon, but, in essence, Bon and Bri are the only 2 singers they've had during their prominence- almost 50 yrs. BTW, guitarist Angus Young just turned 66 today, 3/31.

    The white man had the schmaltz
    The black man had the blues

      Agreed!!! Axl was a gem for offering to fill in for Brian AND did an outstanding job!! ALSO, I wanna give props to Dave Grohl for lending his "Throne" to Axl after he broke his foot, which allowed him to continue the tour!! Love seeing these Rock guys support each other!!!
