Hey Hank, working at a parts store I learned brake cleaner kills them instantly. Saved my life one time when I opened my storage and they had a huge nest. When I ran out I high tailed it out of there. I dropped at least 25 with a 1/4 of a can of brake cleaner.
Love those old NTC Cummins engines, Nice old W900A to. I know you use the the wasps for content but personally I would go in the night before with a yard sprayer with Dawn in it and hose em' down while they are dormant, I don't like getting bit by those things!
lucky you werent stung, when you opened the door, the way they came at you and what it looks to me is those were either, bald faced hornets, yellowjackets,or another wasp species but they looked like a red color,if they are red those are the red paper wasps also called red wasps those are mean, they are very aggressive, and have very painful stings, when you ran after spraying them i can tell they were on you like that but least you were ok
1982? I was in 9th grade back then. How time flies, doesn't it? Just one year later I moved to the NATO headquarters, where I tried REAL Coke from the local PX store, as well as Root Beer (yuk!). I will never forget my first contact with REAL Americans, whom I had never met before. A life - shaping experience!
That familiar sound brings back the memories of logging trucks going through my home town on their way to the mill when I was a kid....... very unique sounding deisel engine
Those old Cummins motors were the BEST back in the day. They run forever. Thats why the old girl Fired up...LOL...It no doubt needs a regulator its up on the air compressor with 2 little lines going to it. It bolts on compressor...its Aluminum and its no doubt stuck fast inside..
Wiley is the cranking Man!!! Great video Hank. That Wasp and Hornet spray is good stuff. Mary Jane keeps two cans of it around here all year long. Enjoyed as always.
Funny how engines from eras like 40's 50's 60's 70's 80's 90's , they can all sat for many years and with minimum care they start , i would now imagine a engine from 2010/2020 being sat for 20 years in street , with so many electronic they will never start anymore!
Шикарный грузовик! В России таких очень мало... Двигатель работает ровно и мягка, приятно слышать. А вот дым из трубы это надо топливное оборудоваие смотреть и компрессию мерить.
Pull the unloader valve out the compressor probably just stuck. I have a set of glad hands with valves so I can use a compressor to unlock the brakes and close the valves to hold the air. Given there’s no leaks in the system. Good stuff 👍🏻
The unloader valve was probably stuck on the compressor. You can sometimes spray a little wd40 into the inlet of the compressor and bang on the top head of the compressor to unstick it. I own a diesel shop in Tampa if you need help holler
I haven't been stung by a wasp, i hope it never happens, but I was stung by a yellow jacket when I was 5 and I'm fuggin terrified of any flying thing that has a stinger I love bumblebees though I've made friends with a couple of them :)
Gotta couple of Deuce and a half military trucks. Wasps and hornets seem to like those trucks over anything else I own. They hide up under the dash waiting until you shut the door and drive off before commencing the attack lol. Love the video!!
Oh.... i'm happy to see you in your natural habitat..... 😀 Whats up with your Crew. We can't see them long time. Everybody is fine? Take care and god bless you.....
Yeah we have some updates about the crew. Everyone is fine. But Brandell moved and Tommy is getting too old to go every time with me. But all is good. Thanks for asking
El campo es muy bonito y trabajar con amigos y familia llena mucho,un gran saludo desde españa!!!!,a quien le gusta trabajar ,sabe que le gusta estos videos!!!🇪🇦🇺🇲
in the early 1980s, one of my family members bought a old scrap yard in Pennsylvania, spent eight months cleaning the yard at the end of it there was a 1950 international harvester cabover style semi truck which had not been started and run in 30 years, we got it to start and run and actually drove it down the road. It smoked like a pig considering it was a two-stroke Detroit Diesel. We ended up selling it to a collector who was going to restore it.
Fired up so quick ya sort of know there has to be a catch to it and there was. Like to see it move once the air building up situation is sorted bro, great video by the way too. Safe travels
Little late to the party but great stuff!!! Is the truck still sitting or has it been sold already, would love to see these old warriors back on the road!!!
That would be your biggest wasp kill yet hank. Those bolt cutters and joiners were funny. Love the multi grip spanner hammer. The old battery box nearly broke with the weight of batteries. Thats 1 big wasp nest on dash. The rusty floor is doing all that accelerating😄 What a gem of a truck. Wally would of been glad to see it start. Good on him for letting u come and and.do.a will it start. Great work enjoyed watching. 😄👍👍👍
Just found your channel, great videos. We have dump bee's (yellowjackets). Your wasps seem like some serious business! Cheers from Ontario (Canada) mint work👌gentlemen
How bout ha Hank!👋 Say, you should come up to Washington State, don't forget Wilie, and hang with me for few days, we gotcha ya plenty a rigs to crank here lol 🤟

Brake cleaner and Either!! Drops them in their tracks!!
Outdid yourself on this one Hank, love that you found a semi to start up!
We’ve had several semi’s on the channel. This one is super cool though! Thanks for watching!
Sound of "mass of wasps" flying was edited in but still funny.
Thanks! I thought it would be funny to put in there😂
When I first heard 👂 it i thought about how the heck are thoes wasp sounding like bees 🐝 😳
Thoes tierd wernt 20 yrs old.
@@positiveyouth.2272 Hahahah you nailed it
Sounded more like flies than wasps.
I like using brake parts cleaner . Drops them instantly!
Especially when you light the spray, instant blowtorch! 😂👍

Him laughing a little child as he sprays the wasps literally made me chuckle

That old kenworth looks good and sounds good for its age. Wish I had my cdl and a shop lol. Love to get an old truck and restore it. Excellent video.
Thanks James. It’s a nice one for sure
I used to work in Mexico at a diesel mechanic work shop is wonderful one of the best work I have ever had

@@HamiltonvilleFarm I have been eyeing up an old excavator I just need to have room to put it if I can get it to start.
Amazing to start after all those years
Tap on the air compresser and see if the valve opens and lets it air up

Yep nothing like a mechanical motor that will fire up easily
Things were built tough back then. Nowadays things are built like plastic toys.
Welcome to the WaspMobile! Normally at night those critters are resting and good time to blast them!
I can see the life over here, still working great job
An A model with Big Cam just don't get no better.. I've got one myself.. They just have a timeless look to em..
Fun times Hank!
